We had a spooktacular time at College View during our Halloween Happy Hour this week! From Beetlejuice and Dorothy to witches, werewolves, and even a chicken, our residents and team got into the Halloween spirit with some great costumes, plenty of laughs, and a little spooky fun!

Our team attended the Dial Leadership Conference in Omaha earlier this week!

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Dial Senior Living, share ideas, and learn from the experiences of other communities and departments.

We returned with fresh perspectives and new ideas, but most importantly, a renewed commitment to making Silvercrest at College View the best community it can be for the residents we have the privilege of serving!

We had quite a few pumpkins for our contest this week! They were spooky, creative, festive and it was difficult to pick a winner. Dolly Parton even made an appearance In the end, pumpkin #13 took home the grand prize, #8 came in a close 2nd and we had a tie for 3rd between #4 and #11! Thank you to everyone who submitted and all who voted. Now it's time to see all of the ghouls and goblins for trick-or-treating!

We had a great time at the Hallmark Cards Visitor Center earlier this week.

For many of us, Hallmark brings back memories of picking out just the right card for someone special, exchanging Christmas cards with family and friends, and hanging treasured ornaments on the tree year after year.

While the visit took many of us down memory lane, it held an even deeper connection for our resident Norma. She spent 30 years working for Hallmark and helped create the very Visitors Center we toured! It was a special opportunity to celebrate both Hallmark's history and Norma's place in it.
