🚨 Important information for our Medicare patients. Your access to same-day care may be at risk.
At OrthoDelaware, we believe you should be able to receive the medically necessary care you need - when you need it.
A proposed Medicare payment policy could make it more difficult for physicians to perform certain procedures, such as injections and biopsies, during the same visit as your office appointment. Instead, patients could be required to return for a separate appointment.
For our patients, this could mean additional costs, delayed treatment, transportation challenges, and the burden of making another trip to the doctor especially for those with mobility limitations, caregiving responsibilities, or long travel distances.
We are deeply concerned about how this could affect our Medicare patient base and their access to timely, convenient orthopedic care.
📢 Your voice matters. CMS is accepting public comments through September 14, 2026. We encourage our patients to learn more about the proposed changes and share why access to same-day care is important to you.
Please see the information below for details on how you can make your voice heard.
First State Orthopaedics is committed to putting our patients first - and advocating for the timely care you deserve. 💙
