Meet Ricky, Pine Meadows’ Resident of the Month for October 2026! 👏
If there’s one thing to know about Ricky, it’s that he has a heart for others and a determination that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Born in Florida but a Kentuckian at heart, Ricky has worn many hats throughout his life. From working security at Rupp Arena to driving trucks across Kentucky, he’s always enjoyed meeting new people and experiencing new places. His favorite part of being on the road? Good music, a cold bottle of Mountain Dew, and the occasional free meal!
Ricky has faced his share of challenges, including mobility challenges since childhood, but through it all, he has continued to persevere. One of his proudest accomplishments is graduating from night school, something that made his mom especially proud. And he’s not done setting goals for himself!
These days, Ricky finds joy in sports, anything fishing related, spending time outdoors, and cheering on his Kentucky Wildcats (of course!!) 💙 You can also catch him enjoying a game of co****le, cards, or bingo.
The people around him describe him as sociable, friendly, and observant, while our staff admire his kindness, persistence, and genuine care for those around him. He’s the kind of person who looks out for his neighbors and makes an effort to get to know everyone.
When asked what advice he would give his younger self, Ricky shared a little wisdom we could all use: “Listen to the older people. Listen to the people that know.”
We’re grateful to have Ricky as part of our Pine Meadows family and appreciate the kindness and positivity he brings to our community.
