I think most of us could use a CTRL ALT DEL for our bodies every now and then.

That’s one of my favorite ways to describe Flowpresso®.

This is a unique therapy that combines compression, heat, and deep pressure in a full-body suit designed to support relaxation and recovery.

We’re talking about giving your body an opportunity to rest and recover in a world that rarely encourages either.

Athletes are using it as part of their recovery routines, but you certainly don’t have to be an Olympian to appreciate a little help in that department!

We’re excited to offer Flowpresso at Solutions, and we’d love to introduce you to it.

Today, we’re celebrating Lisa and an exciting accomplishment! She passed the menopause exam, helping ensure that Solutions Functional Medicine is represented on the national website for the Menopause Society.

For women in Lexington looking for specialized, up-to-date menopause care, this means one more way to find a provider who understands the science and is committed to helping women navigate this stage of life.

Mandi and the entire team are so proud to have Lisa at Solutions. Her dedication to learning and providing better care for women is something worth celebrating!

Help us congratulate Lisa in the comments!

Let's talk about what we know, what we've been taught, and what the research actually says about hormone replacement therapy.

Women have spent years navigating conflicting information about their hormones. My goal is to help make the science easier to understand so you can have more informed conversations about your care.

Join me online for Lunch & Learn: Progesterone Changes Lives. Bring your curiosity. I'll bring the research.

“I'm just not good at resting.” I hear this so often, and honestly, I think a lot of us can relate.

We're so used to taking care of everyone else, keeping up with our responsibilities, and moving on to the next thing that slowing down can feel almost impossible.

But rest isn't something you have to be good at. It's something your body needs.

Your nervous system, hormones, sleep, and digestion are all connected to how your body responds to stress. Sometimes, giving yourself permission to pause is a good place to start.

Flowpresso offers an hour of compression, warmth, and deep pressure in a quiet, relaxing setting. No to-do list. No one asking you for anything. Just a little time to let yourself slow down.

You deserve that, too.

Ready to make some room for rest? Book a Flowpresso session or a root-cause consultation through the link in our bio.

FDA-listed Class II device. Not appropriate for everyone; screening is required. For educational purposes only, not medical advice.

We are learning that the conversation around GLP-1s is much bigger than weight loss.

Some clients using very low or microdoses report improvements in brain fog, joint pain, triglycerides, lipid panels, A1C, and other metabolic markers.

That’s part of what makes this area of medicine so interesting.

We’re continuing to learn how these medications may support metabolic health in people dealing with a wide range of metabolic concerns, not just the expected weight gain that can come with midlife.

The goal is not simply to make the number on the scale smaller. It’s about looking at the whole picture and understanding what your body needs to function better.

This is an exciting time in metabolic medicine, and we’re learning more every day.

Your heart pumps blood. Extremely famous, great press.

Nothing pumps your lymph.

It moves because you move. Muscle contraction, breathing, and pressure on the tissue around those vessels. That's the entire engine. So when you spend nine hours sitting, seven lying still, and the rest in low-grade panic about your inbox… flow slows down.

And you feel it. Puffiness. Heavy legs. Fog. Sleep that didn't seem to count.

Now stack that on a perimenopausal nervous system that's already running hot, and you've got a body that has forgotten how to downshift.

This is why we brought Flowpresso into the clinic.

It's a full-body compression suit — legs, abdomen, arms, torso — delivering three things at once: sequential compression that moves fluid in the direction it's meant to go, adjustable far infrared heat across four zones, and deep pressure that feels like a very thorough hug. FDA Class II medical device. You stay fully clothed. Forty minutes.

Here's my honest clinical take: Flowpresso is not a hormone and it doesn't treat disease. What it does is create conditions. Almost nothing I prescribe works well in a body stuck in fight-or-flight. You can have beautiful labs and still feel awful if your nervous system never gets out of the on-position.

Swipe to slide 7 for the contraindications, because I'm not going to sell you something without telling you who shouldn't have it.

A few years ago, Dr. Dan Purser and I connected over one of my favorite clinical rabbit holes: progesterone.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of learning from him as a fellow curious clinician—especially around genetics, root-cause medicine, inflammatory cytokines, and the science of antioxidant pathways.

I’m grateful for the time he and Denise have so generously shared with me, and for Dan’s patience in walking me through the depth of his research and clinical observations.

There is something special about physicians who never stop asking better questions.

Always learning. Always curious. Always grateful for the people willing to teach.

"Your labs are normal."

Normal compared to what? A reference range built from a population of people who were also tired.

And nine times out of ten, that "normal" was a single TSH. TSH tells me what your brain is shouting at your thyroid. It doesn't tell me how much active hormone actually reached your cells. Plenty of women make T4 just fine and can't convert it to T3, the form your body actually uses. A TSH sails right past that every time.

Full picture: TSH, Free T3, Free T4, reverse T3, antibodies. Plus iron, ferritin, vitamin D, B12, inflammatory markers, cortisol. Low iron alone can wreck conversion.

You're allowed to want more than "not sick."

Book a consultation, link in bio. Let's run the labs that answer the question.

Your heart pumps your blood. Your lymph has no pump. It only moves when you do.

So when life gets still, you feel it. Rings tight by 4 p.m., heavy legs, puffy and foggy by dinner. I'm not surprised. I'm interested.

Flowpresso is now at Solutions: one fully clothed hour of rhythmic compression, gentle warmth and deep pressure.

Book a session through the link in bio, or book a consultation with me to find the root cause.

You've been pushing through this for a while now.

The second cup of coffee. The earlier bedtime that doesn't help. The mental note to be more disciplined about food and workouts. And you are still tired, still foggy, still quietly wondering what is wrong with you.

Let me say this plainly. Nothing is wrong with you.

One rough week is not a thyroid problem. Six months of fatigue, brain fog, and weight that will not move despite real effort is a pattern, and patterns are information.

At your consultation we look at that pattern properly. Your symptoms, your history, and testing that goes well past a single TSH. Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, thyroid antibodies, ferritin, vitamin D, B12, inflammatory markers. Some women produce plenty of thyroid hormone and struggle to convert it into the active form. One lonely TSH will never show you that.

Then we build a plan around what your body is actually doing, not what it should theoretically be doing.

You have pushed through long enough. Let's look.

Consultations open now. Link in bio.
