Congratulations to Andy Neilson, RN, 6 South, who received the DAISY Award for extraordinary nurses at Liberty Hospital this week! A patient’s wife submitted this nomination:
"From the moment we met her, Andy made us feel like more than just patients, she made us feel like family. During a very stressful and emotional time, her kindness, compassion and genuine concern brought us comfort in ways I can't fully put into words. Andy took incredible care of my husband, always going above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable and well cared for. What stood out even more was how thoroughly she communicated with us. That level of attentiveness and respect meant so much to us. Andy exceeded every expectation we had and turned a difficult experience into one filled with trust, reassurance and gratitude.
