Important Formula Recall Notice for Parents and Caregivers

The CDC and FDA are advising families to immediately stop using Nara Organics Whole Milk Organic Infant Formula due to a multistate outbreak investigation of infant botulism.

If you have this formula at home, please do not use it. Unopened cans should be thrown away or returned. If you have an opened or leftover can, label it “DO NOT USE” and keep it safely away from other feeding items for at least one month. Wash items and surfaces that may have touched the formula using hot soapy water or a dishwasher.

Seek immediate health care if the infant consumed Nara Organics infant formula and has any of these symptoms:
o Poor feeding
o Loss of head control
o Difficulty swallowing
o Decreased facial expression

Symptoms of infant botulism can take several weeks to start. Parents of children who consumed Nara Organics infant formula should watch their infant for symptoms for a month after the infant last consumed the product.

For the most current information, please visit the CDC or FDA websites.

June is National Safety Month, and with summer here, it’s a great time to review pool safety with your family.

Always watch children when they are in or around water and keep young children and weaker swimmers within arm’s reach of an adult. When several adults are present, choose a designated “Water Watcher” to keep eyes on the kids without distractions.

Swim lessons, CPR training, and basic water safety rules can also help families feel more prepared around pools, lakes, and other bodies of water.
