For 28 years, Jay has been part of the heart of Legacy.

At his retirement celebration, we heard the same things again and again: Jay knew everyone’s name, and he always took time for people.

His titles—Director of Legacy Estates and COO—described the work he did, but the relationships throughout the room reflected the difference he made. Through his steady leadership and genuine care for others, Jay helped build a community where people feel known, valued and at home.

And no celebration of Jay would have been complete without one familiar detail: everyone raised a Styrofoam cup for his farewell toast—a fitting tribute to the Styrofoam cup of coffee that was rarely far from his hand.

Jay, thank you for 28 years of leadership, friendship and the countless ways you cared for the people around you. Your impact will remain part of Legacy for years to come.

She spent the morning with our Bingo crew and even walked away with a win… although it happened to be during the round when only the “non-winners” could win!

Today, residents and team members across our Legacy communities came together for Rockin’ for a Reason. The day was filled with charades, music, baked sale, raffles and plenty of laughter - all while supporting the Alzheimer’s Association.

We’re grateful for the friendships, generous hearts and joyful moments that made the day so meaningful.
