Founder Jerry Joyce conceived Legacy Retirement Communities when his own mother, Berenice, found herself overwhelmed with the demands of home ownership.

When family began evaluating options for Berenice nothing they found fit the bill. And so with Berenice's wants in mind, Jerry was inspired to create Legacy Retirement Communities, a trio of state-of-the-art communities that incorporate elegance, superior quality of care, affordability, and thriving social activity all under one roof. And we don't use that description lightly -- Legacy Retirement Communities have been Voted Best of Lincoln every year since 1998! Call or come in for a visit today and you'll see why.

🚴‍♂️ Katie DIDN’T Try It! 😂
There’s a first time for everything… including a “Katie Tries It” activity that Katie decided to sit out!
We had an incredible time watching the NoWear BMX stunt performance at Legacy Estates. The tricks were impressive, the weather was beautiful, and our residents had a front-row seat to all the action.
I love trying new things with our residents, but I think I’ll leave the bike stunts to the professionals!
Some things are just better enjoyed from the sidelines!

🍎 We’re APPLE-solutely Grateful for YOU! 🍎

Over the past two weeks, our leadership team had the pleasure of celebrating our incredible employees across all four Legacy communities!

Four days filled with apple treats, laughter, gratitude, and most importantly, an opportunity to say THANK YOU!

Our leadership team enjoyed serving our employees and recognizing the hard work, compassion, and dedication they bring to our communities every single day.

We also loved watching our Gratitude Trees fill up with messages of appreciation! 🍁

Our employees are the heart of Legacy, and the difference they make in the lives of our residents and one another does not go unnoticed.

We are APPLE-solutely grateful for each and every one of you! 🍎❤️

Katie Tries It… What a Week!
This week was a busy one at Legacy Estates, and I loved every minute of it!

We kicked things off with a Husker Pep Rally, cheering GO BIG RED! There’s nothing quite like some Husker spirit to bring everyone together.

We celebrated Active Aging Week with a carnival put on by our amazing fitness team. So many great games and we had lots of fun. I love seeing our residents staying active and trying new things!

And the highlight of my week? ELVIS WAS IN THE BUILDING! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get to meet the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll! Of course, I had to get a picture!

One thing I’m learning through my Katie Tries It adventures is that there’s never a dull moment at Legacy Estates. I think I’m having just as much fun as our residents!

I can’t wait to see what I get to try next!
