"What do I do when a loved one passes?" It's one of the most common questions funeral directors hear. In this video, Britten explains to you exactly what to do when a loved one dies.

If your loved one is on hospice care, your first call is to the hospice nurse. They'll provide post-mortem care, and when your family is ready, they'll contact us. We typically respond within 45 minutes to an hour.

In a sudden or unexpected passing where hospice isn't involved, call 911 first. Once their process is complete, they'll reach out to us, and we'll respond from there.

From that point, we'll schedule a time for your family to sit down one-on-one with a funeral director. These arrangement meetings take about an hour and a half, and we'll walk through everything together, including service dates and times, the obituary, flowers, and every detail in between.

You don't have to navigate this alone. We're here to guide you, every step of the way.

This Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude.

To the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country — and to the families who carry their memory forward — thank you. Your loss is not forgotten, and your loved one's legacy lives on in every freedom we hold today.

If this season brings the weight of grief close to the surface, please know we're here. Holding space for your memories, your stories, and the people you've loved and lost.

There's a certain stillness inside the hearse. It carries weight — not just literally, but the weight of a life, and a family's final goodbye. We believe that moment deserves dignity, quiet care, and beauty. Every detail, considered. Every family, honored.

In a culture that often tells us to "stay strong," there's a quiet rebellion in letting yourself cry.

Tears aren't a sign that you've fallen apart. They're a sign that you loved deeply — that the loss matters, that the bond was real.

If you've been holding it in, give yourself permission. Tears are not weakness. They're love with nowhere else to go.
