A gentle feeding reminder: tasting is not the only kind of progress. ๐ฑ
Looking at a food, allowing it on the plate, touching it, smelling it, helping prepare it, or taking one tiny lick can all be meaningful steps toward feeling safe with food.
Invite your children into the whole experience:
๐ Plan meals together
๐ Shop for food together
๐ฅ Wash, chop, mix, and cook together
๐ฝ๏ธ Sit down and eat together
๐ Let them see you genuinely enjoying your food
Eating is about more than nutritionโit is also social, sensory, emotional, and relational. Children learn about food through repeated, pressure-free experiences with people they trust.
Connection first. Curiosity next. Tasting may come in time. ๐
