Today here at Cascade was a bit "Different"... in fact, today was a very honorable day for both the residents and staff workers of Cascade. Residents and Staff wanted to show the appreciation and acknowledgement of gallantry to our heroes of Longwood, (Longwood Police Department), (Longwood Fire Department) and (Seminole County Paramedics) everyday these heroes leave Family and Friends to protect, serve and save lives for many of those that the residents and staff workers were able to share today. When you think of the word "Hero" , many of us don't think about Superman or Batman...these are the heroes we see! LPD, LFD, and SCP Thank you for all that you do and have done for Cascade and for those that aren't a part of this community. We see that your heart is fully dedicated!

Jerry and Gwen keep our Assisted Living residents captivated with new and adventurous tells/stories every Thursday of the week, today "Ann Shelly" one of our woman heroes joined along in this activity. Ann has protected and served as a Firefighter for 9 years . She holds a profound blend of grit, compassion, and trailblazing leadership. Honoring her heroism Ann saved a life of a 5-year child from a horrific car accident, being the only one able to squeeze herself between a gap in the vehicle. Giving thanks to all of our brave heroes contributing to saving lives, your bravery doesn't go unnoticed.

Come on Cascade "Let's Twist Again" all summer! Grab your poodle skirts and combs and "Let's Blow This Joint" and lets cruise to Cascade Heights, I heard "Elvis" will be there playing some jams on the jukebox! While we we're there, we could grab a burger and fries and some shakes!
