Peptides keep coming up in my conversations lately, and not just because of Ozempic.
Clients are asking about recovery, skin health, gut healing, and healthy aging. The questions are getting a lot more interesting.
So let’s talk about it.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as messengers in the body. Think of them as text messages telling your cells what to do. Depending on the peptide, that message might be to regulate appetite, support healing, reduce inflammation, or stimulate collagen production.
Three worth knowing about:
💉 GLP-1 Peptides
Known for blood sugar regulation and weight loss.
💪 BPC-157
Often called the “healing peptide.” Studied for its potential role in injury recovery, inflammation reduction, and gut repair.
✨ GHK-Cu (Copper Peptide)
Popular in skincare, but its potential applications may go much deeper.
What excites me most isn’t any single peptide.
It’s the possibility that we’re moving toward therapies that help the body communicate and heal more effectively.
That said, no peptide is a shortcut.
The fundamentals still matter:
✔️ Blood sugar balance
✔️ Adequate protein
✔️ Resistance training
✔️ Stress management
✔️ Quality sleep
✔️ Gut health
A peptide can’t outwork a body that’s running on empty.
