Did you know your liver helps you digest fats? 💚
Most people know the liver as the body’s filter, but that is only part of the story! Your liver also helps with digestion by making bile, a fluid your body uses to break down fats from the foods you eat. 🥑🧈
This matters because breaking down fat is what helps your body absorb it properly. Bile also helps your body absorb fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K, which are important for things like vision, immune function, bone health, and normal blood clotting. 🩸
Here’s another cool part: your liver makes the bile, but your gallbladder stores it until your body needs it. So when you eat a meal that contains fat, your body releases bile to help process it behind the scenes. That means your liver is not just focused on filtering; it is also helping your body use nutrients from food the way it is supposed to! 🧈
It is one more reason liver health matters more than people realize. This organ is doing a lot of important work long before most people ever think about it! 😌
As always PlugFAM, the more we get to know about the liver the more interesting it becomes. Like you if you agree and stay tuned for our next fun liver fact! 😉
