September is PMOS Awareness Month 🤍

You may know it as PCOS, but it has a new name: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, or PMOS.

The new name better reflects what so many people living with PMOS already know. It is not simply about ovarian cysts. PMOS is a complex hormonal and metabolic condition that can affect many areas of your health, including your reproductive health.

PMOS affects approximately 1 in 8 women or those assigned female at birth worldwide and may make it more difficult to conceive by disrupting ovulation. But a PMOS diagnosis does not mean growing your family is impossible. There are options and resources available to help you understand what comes next.

This PMOS Awareness Month, we are sharing more information, supporting better understanding and reminding everyone navigating PMOS that you are not alone.
