CHASTITY MONEA PARKER OBITUARY
Chastity Monea Parker, affectionately known to family and friends as "Pookie," was born on July 23,1975, in Los Angeles, California, to the late Vernon Parker and Valtanette Patterson.
Having accepted Christ at an early age, Chastity was a devoted member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Though illness eventually limited her physical attendance, her devotion never wavered; she faithfully joined her church community in worship online every Sunday.
Chastity's educational journey began at Lovelia P. Flournoy Elementary School in Los Angeles. She went on to attend Willowbrook Middle School in Compton, California, and Alain Locke High School, ultimately earning her diploma from Thomas Riley High School.
With a deep passion for helping others, Chastity dedicated her career to serving her community. She worked at SMS Transportation and served for several years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Lighthouse Health Center. She also worked for the City of Los Angeles, the United States Postal Service, and as a Mental Health Coordinator for "Options for Life."
Chastity was the incredibly proud mother of her only child, a daughter she named Jazmin Monea, whom she lovingly called "Pooda." We all knew Jazmin was her true pride and joy, and there was absolutely nothing Chastity wouldn't do for her baby girl.
