🩺 Check Your Blood Pressure!
High blood pressure can make you sick, even when you don't feel any different. The only way to know if your blood pressure is good is to know your numbers.
✅ Get it checked often, even when you feel fine
✅ A healthy number is usually below 120/80
✅ You can also check it at home with a small machine
✅ Tell your doctor if your numbers are too high
It only takes a few minutes to check your blood pressure. It can help keep you healthy and safe! 💙

🔥 Heat Warning for LA County! 🔥

It's going to be very hot until Thursday night. Temps could go over 100°!

Here's how to stay safe:
☀️ Stay inside from 10am to 3pm — that's when the sun is strongest
🧊 Keep your AC at 75-80°, or go to a Cooling Center to cool off
💧 Drink water a lot — don't wait until you're thirsty
🚗 Never leave a kid or a pet alone in a car, not even for a minute
👴🏽 Check on grandparents, neighbors, or anyone who doesn't have AC

🚨 Call 911 if someone feels dizzy, confused, sick, or has hot dry skin. Heat can make people very sick fast!

🙌🏽 LA County proudly welcomes USA‑2 back!

LA Health Services' very own Dr. Dipesh Patel, Medical Director, spoke at a press conference about Los Angeles County Fire Department's lifesaving U.S. Department of State mission to Venezuela. The team responded to the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, causing widespread destruction and overwhelming local emergency resources.

💪🏽 They made a powerful impact and brought hope to the Venezuelan people, and we’re grateful to welcome them home with pride and appreciation.
