New study just came out: regular stretching (not a one-time thing) can actually lower arterial stiffness, aka make your blood vessels more flexible, almost as much as cardio does.

Turns out a single stretch session doesn’t do much. But sticking with it for a few weeks? Big difference. And the more you repeat each stretch (3+ times), the better the results.

This is exactly why I build stretching and bodywork into a consistent routine with my clients, not just a one-off fix. Your vascular health benefits from the same consistency your muscles do.

If you’re in LA and want a professional stretching routine built around your body and your goals, come see me. Let’s make it safe, consistent, and actually good for you long term.

🌿 Cluster Headaches & Seasonal Changes — What You Should Know

Welcome to Spring in Los Angeles!
Some people notice that their headaches become more frequent during certain times of the year, especially in spring and fall.

Research suggests that cluster headaches may be influenced by seasonal changes. These headaches are believed to be linked to the body’s biological clock (circadian rhythm), which can be affected by changes in daylight, sleep patterns, and environmental factors.

Cluster headaches are different from tension headaches or neck-related headaches. They tend to be:
• Very intense and one-sided
• Often around or behind one eye
• Occurring in cycles or “clusters” over weeks or months

Because headaches can have many causes, it’s important to get an accurate medical diagnosis if you experience severe or recurring symptoms.

As a massage therapist, my role is to help support people who may also experience neck, head, jaw, facial tension, muscle tightness, or stress-related discomfort that can overlap with headache symptoms. Hands-on care, movement strategies, and nervous system regulation can sometimes help reduce muscular contributors to discomfort and improve overall well-being.

🌱 Awareness is key — but proper medical care always comes first.

Grateful for the Los Angeles athletes and active individuals who make sports massage part of their training plan. 🙏

⭐️Recently, a 50+ competitive track athlete shared that it’s “very difficult to find a competent massage therapist” — and that meant a lot.

Longevity in sport takes more than hard training. It takes smart recovery.

Sports massage is not just one technique or a single modality.
It’s a recovery-focused soft tissue approach designed for athletes and regular exercisers, with emphasis on:

✔ Injury prevention
✔ Recovery
✔ Flexibility & mobility
✔ Supporting long-term resilience

It can be beneficial at every stage of participation:
• Conditioning / Training phase
• Pre-competition
• Between competitions
• Post-competition
• Post-travel
• Injury prevention
• Injury recovery
• Jet lag & travel fatigue

And you don’t have to be a competitive athlete to benefit. If you move, train, lift, run, cycle, or simply live an active life, sports massage supports you.

Massage Therapists trained in sports massage often develop a deeper understanding of biomechanics, performance demands, and recovery cycles beyond a standard relaxation session.

Thank you, Los Angeles, for trusting me with your recovery.
Feel good. Move better. Be resilient.

📍Why neck pain is rarely “just posture.”
📚Research continues to show that neck pain is multidimensional and not caused by any one joint, muscle, or posture alone.

A 2025 study examined people with chronic non-specific neck pain, defined as neck pain lasting more than 3 months without a clear structural cause. This type of neck pain often involves more than pain alone and may include headaches, limited movement, fatigue, sleep issues, and difficulty with daily activities.

The study found that chronic, non-specific neck pain may be associated with:

✔ Changes in jaw muscles (especially the masseter)
✔ Oral habits like clenching or grinding
✔ Higher levels of stress, anxiety, and depression

🔑The study also showed that jaw muscle changes were linked to jaw movement limitations and psychological stress, reinforcing a bidirectional relationship between the neck and jaw shaped by biomechanics, neuromuscular coordination, and psychosocial factors. Muscle structure alone does not fully explain symptoms.

⚙️Biomechanically, the jaw and neck move together. Opening the mouth naturally involves neck extension, and closing it requires neck flexion. Muscles like the masseter and Sternocleidomastoid often work together during everyday activities such as chewing and talking.

This matches what we see clinically:
Neck pain is often complex and non-specific, influenced by multiple systems rather than just posture, and many people expect neck pain massage to be deep and intense. But evidence shows that lasting relief isn’t about pressure alone. It’s about applying the proper techniques at the right time.

👉 Our neuromuscular therapy for neck pain is guided by evidence-based practice to support relief that lasts. Treatment sessions may include focused, hands-on work on the neck, jaw, facial muscles, TMJ, and SCM when appropriate, helping improve movement, reduce protective muscle tension, and allow the nervous system to feel safe enough to let go.
