It is incredibly easy to trade a child’s private vulnerability for a quick laugh or a moment of adult connection at the next family gathering. We think we are just sharing a funny phase or venting about a tough week. But kids have excellent radar for betrayal. They know exactly when their mistakes have been converted into conversational currency.

If they have to audit what they say to you out of fear that it will be broadcasted to their aunts, uncles, or the internet, the home stops feeling like a refuge. It becomes a stage where they have to watch their step.

When a child brings you their raw materials — their messy thoughts, their failures, or their secrets — they are seeking your internal stillness. They are reaching to see if you are strong enough to hold their reality without passing it around to the crowd.

Guarding that trust in real time means changing our posture when the outside world probes. When extended family asks for updates or questions your child’s struggles, choose to let the conversation drop. Practice a quiet, steady pivot. Saying, "That's their story to tell when they're ready," closes the circle completely.

The path forward requires an unshakeable loyalty. It means deciding that your child's trust is worth more than peer approval or family small talk.

When you fiercely guard that circle, the tension leaves the room — and your child's shoulders drop because they finally know, with absolute certainty, that their world is safe in your hands. ❤️

In undergoing my own journey with infertility, my husband and I recognized a major gap in mental health support for women and couples undergoing fertility treatment.

So we decided to address this issue and create a program that includes stress reduction classes and support groups.

I’d like to introduce you to

—THE FERTILE MIND—

If you know someone who’s in fertility treatment and might benefit, please forward this info. I’m here to answer any questions and support you on your journey.

The process of undergoing fertility treatment can be emotionally daunting and isolating. Whether it's hormone replacement therapy or IVF, it's become "normal" to feel alone, anxious, and lost in uncertainty. By the time you find yourself in the office of a fertility doctor, you've already been throu...

If you've been feeling burnt out and overwhelmed but don't know why...read this.

I've noticed a pattern, not just with my clients, but with most people I talk to. Our brains don't work the way they used to. I've been researching it. This is what I think is going on.

Let me know your thoughts and share it with whomever you think needs to read this.
