This is your physical therapist, Bianca 👋
A master’s track & field athlete in her mid-40s, still chasing goals, still showing up.
After 20 years away, I returned to my first love—track and field. Along the way, old knee and groin injuries tried to make a comeback… but this time, I had the tools to manage them, stay ahead of them, and keep moving forward.
After 2.5 years of rebuilding, I hit a major PR in the 80m hurdles. Not because everything felt perfect—but because I stayed patient, trained smart, and prioritized recovery.
Here’s what this journey has reinforced:
✨ Your body sends signals—listen early
✨ Recovery is EVERYTHING in your 40s (sleep, mobility, tissue work)
✨ Mindset matters just as much as training
✨ The mind–body connection is real—and trainable
Work with a physical therapist who understands training—because they’re living it too.
Don’t wait until you’re injured.
Work through the “kinks” early. Stay ahead of pain. Keep doing what you love.
And guess what… now I have new goals 👀
With consistent training, do you think I can place nationally in the 80m hurdles in the 45–50 age group?
Follow along and be part of the journey.
