• Who qualifies — You don't need a combat injury or service-connected disability to be eligible. Many veterans who served during peacetime or in the National Guard/Reserves may qualify.

• Common myths busted — Including misconceptions about income limits, taking appointments from other veterans, and losing private insurance.

• What VA healthcare covers — Primary care, mental health support, specialty care, labs, imaging, physical therapy, telehealth, travel reimbursement, and more.

• How to enroll — Online, by phone, in person, or by mail. You'll need your DD214, Social Security number, recent tax return, and private insurance info (if applicable).

VA recommends that with average risk for breast cancer start screening with mammography at age 40. It is recommended to repeat this test every other year.
You may choose to get a mammogram every year. For 74+, talk with your health care provider about risks and benefits.
By getting routine mammograms, you may be able to detect breast cancer early and get treatment before it spreads. Mammogram costs are covered for Veterans receiving care at VA. https://www.womenshealth.va.gov

VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, in partnership with TELACU Veterans Upward Bound, Veterans Stand Together, and Shriners Los Angeles, is honored to invite Veterans and their loved ones to a complimentary Veterans Brunch, celebrating Veterans Day and the Marine Corps birthday.

Now in its second year, this event will bring together more than 350 Veterans, service members and family members, including those who have experienced homelessness. Guests will have access to VA and community resources, benefits information and support services throughout the event.
