Seatbelts save lives…but during a collision, the force of the crash can still place stress on the chest, shoulder, neck, ribs, abdomen, and spine.

Possible seatbelt-related injuries include:
✔️ Chest or rib soreness
✔️ Shoulder and collarbone pain
✔️ Neck strain or whiplash-type symptoms
✔️ Low back or abdominal discomfort
✔️ Bruising or soft-tissue irritation across the belt line

These symptoms can show up right away or develop over the next few days as inflammation and stiffness build.

If pain is lingering, worsening, or comes with numbness, weakness, shortness of breath, or abdominal pain, it’s important to get medically evaluated.

💉 Interventional pain management can help identify the source of ongoing neck, back, shoulder, or nerve-related pain after an accident and offer targeted, non-surgical treatment options when appropriate.

Yes. The sacroiliac joint, or SI joint, connects the lower spine to the pelvis and can be a source of low back, buttock, hip, or even leg pain. SI joint pain can feel similar to other spine-related conditions, which is why a proper exam is important.

In some cases, image-guided injections can help confirm whether the SI joint is contributing to the pain and may also provide relief.

A clear diagnosis helps guide the next step. ✔️

Save this for later.

Lower back pain is not always coming from the disc.

Sometimes, the small joints in the back of the spine, called facet joints, can become irritated and contribute to pain with standing, extension, twisting, or certain movements.

A lower back facet joint injection is a targeted, image-guided procedure used to help identify and calm pain coming from these joints. The procedure is typically brief and done with precision so medication can be placed near the suspected pain source.

Pain is feedback 👉🏼 not something to ignore.

If a movement keeps causing sharp, worsening, or repeated pain, pushing harder usually is not the answer. Modifying the movement early can help avoid irritating the area further.

If pain persists, talk with your physician.

Diabetic Neuropathy 👉 What it is ➕ Why it hurts ⚡️
Burning, tingling, numbness, or nerve pain in the feet or hands? Diabetes may be part of the reason.

The tendon that powers every push-off.

Your Achilles tendon connects the calf muscles to the heel bone, helping you walk, run, climb stairs, jump, and push off the ground.

Because it handles a lot of force, irritation can build when the tendon is overloaded faster than it can adapt.

Precision is a major part of interventional pain care.

Image-guided injections can help physicians target specific areas that may be contributing to pain…often with the goal of reducing inflammation, improving function, and helping guide the next step in a treatment plan.

For many patients, the value is not just relief. It is getting more clarity on where the pain may be coming from.

Facet joint pain is often tied to wear-and-tear changes in the spine.

The facet joints are small joints in the back of the spine that help guide movement and provide stability.

When degeneration develops, these joints can become irritated and may contribute to neck or low back pain, stiffness, or pain that feels worse with certain movements.

It’s one reason “back pain” is not always coming from the disc.
