Did you know that the pH balance of your body plays a crucial role in maintaining good health? Maintaining a balance between alkaline and acidic is key to optimum wellness.
The terms "alkaline" and "acidic" refer to the pH ( “potential of hydrogen”) level of a substance, with pH 7 being neutral. A substance with a pH less than 7 is considered acidic, while a substance with a pH greater than 7 is considered alkaline. The scale that measures pH goes from 0 to 14.
The pH level of water is a measure of its acidity or alkalinity. Pure water has a neutral pH of 7, but natural water sources and municipal water supplies can vary in pH. Just Alkaline water doesn’t mean purity. Water filtration systems like RO (Reverse Osmosis) help to purify the water, however, after water passes through the RO system it strips the good and the bad minerals making the water acidic and practically dead. for human consumption. This is why it is necessary after RO water filtration to replenish essential multiple minerals given life back to the water. That also does not guarantee that the water will be alkaline yet. Alkalinity will be achieved through Ionization or adding alkaline minerals, such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium, increasing its pH level and making it more alkaline.
pH greater than 7 is believed by some to have health benefits, such as reducing acidity in the body and providing antioxidants. Alkaline foods, such as leafy greens, fruits and nuts, help neutralize acids and reduce inflammation. On the other hand, acidic foods, such as processed foods, dairy and meats, can disrupt the pH balance and lead to health issues.

❗️A must ready❗️continued in comments…❗️“What is a GMO?”❗️

“Under the Non-GMO Project Standard, a genetically modified organism (GMO) is an organism to which biotechnology has been applied. This creates combinations of plant, animal, bacteria and virus genes that do not occur in nature or through traditional crossbreeding methods.

Are GMOs safe?

In the absence of credible, independent, long-term feeding studies, the safety of GMOs is unknown.

Are GMOs labeled?

Sixty-five countries around the world, including Australia, Japan and all of the countries in the European Union, require genetically modified foods to be labeled. Canada does not require any GMO labeling.

Under the USDA's National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard (NBFDS), some – but not all – products containing GMOs must be labeled in the United States. In its current form, categorical exemptions prevent this law from delivering the transparency Americans deserve.

Which foods might contain GMOs?

Most packaged and processed foods contain ingredients derived from corn, soy, canola and sugar beet — and the vast majority of those crops grown in North America are genetically modified.

The Non-GMO Project also considers livestock, apiculture, and aquaculture products at high risk because genetically engineered ingredients are common in animal feed. This impacts animal-derived products such as eggs, milk, meat, honey, and seafood.

Whole Foods refer to foods that are unprocessed and unrefined, retaining most of their natural nutrients and fiber. They are typically minimally processed and include fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy products, and meat, poultry, and fish.

Processed foods, on the other hand, are typically created by combining, altering, and/or preserving ingredients to extend their shelf life and/or enhance their flavor, texture, and convenience. Examples of processed foods include packaged snacks, baked goods, canned foods, frozen meals, and sugary drinks.

Eating a diet rich in whole foods has been associated with numerous health benefits, including a reduced risk of chronic diseases, improved digestion and weight management, and better overall nutrient intake. In contrast, a diet high in processed foods has been linked to an increased risk of health problems, such as obesity, heart disease, and type 2 diabetes.
