How often should we be having s*x?

It’s one of the questions I get asked the most.

But there is no one answer. Because there is no “right” amount of s*x we should all be having.

What matters is what works for you and your partner(s).

So instead of asking, “Are we having enough s*x?”, maybe the better question is: Are we happy with the s*x we’re having?

We flirt to show someone we’re interested in them.

Then we get into a relationship... and somehow, we stop.

But being together doesn’t mean we stop wanting to feel attractive, desired, or wanted by our partner.

So why stop flirting?

And that’s not the only reason flirting still matters years into a relationship.

👉 I wrote about it in my latest article on Substack. Check it out! Link in bio.

📣 New article on Substack:

“When Is the Last Time You Flirted With Your Partner?”

We tend to associate flirting with the beginning of a relationship. The excitement. The attraction. The anticipation.

But once we’re together, does flirting still matter?

Spoiler: it does. 😉

S*x makes noise.

We just don’t hear much of it in the s*x we see on screen.

What we hear in movies and TV is rarely what s*x actually sounds like. So when an unexpected sound happens during s*x, it can catch us off guard or make us feel self-conscious.

But those sounds are simply part of bodies moving together. Real s*x doesn’t come with a sound editor.

👉 If embarrassment or self-consciousness is getting in the way of enjoying s*x, I work with individuals and couples in private sessions. Link in bio.

Women don’t necessarily “take a long time” to or**sm.

Research has found that women tend to reach or**sm faster during ma********on than during partnered s*x.

That difference matters. Because if the same body can reach or**sm more quickly in one context than another, maybe the question isn’t why women take so long.

Maybe it’s what’s happening during partnered s*x.

✨ If or**sm feels easier alone than with a partner, it can be worth understanding what’s getting in the way. I work with individuals and couples in private sessions. 👉 Link in bio.

📣 New article on Substack:

“Why Didn’t We Have S*x?”

When couples don’t have s*x, what gets in the way?

One study looked at exactly that, day after day, for 30 days.

And the results raise an even bigger question: what can they teach us about our own s*x lives?

A little exciting news! 😊

I was recently featured in Cosmopolitan to talk about bad s*x, s*xual compatibility, and what happens when the chemistry is there... but the s*x doesn’t quite live up to it.

We talked about why one disappointing s*xual experience doesn’t necessarily mean two people are s*xually incompatible, how compatibility can develop over time, and what you can actually do when the s*x isn’t quite working.

Thank you to Cosmopolitan and Catherine DiPersico for including my perspective in the piece!

Saying what feels good, what doesn’t, what you want more of, or what you’d rather stop isn’t selfish. It’s part of creating s*x that feels good for everyone involved.

✨ If communicating about s*x feels difficult, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with individuals and couples in private sessions. Link in bio.

An er****on is a physical response. Arousal is what someone is actually feeling.

Sometimes the two happen together. Sometimes they don’t.

Morning er****ons are a perfect example: the body can respond without s*xual desire or arousal being behind it.

Our bodies can give us information, but they don’t always tell us the whole story.

✨ I help individuals and couples understand what’s shaping their s*x lives and what they can do about it. Link in bio.
