Havana Night was one for the books!

What an amazing evening with our residents, their families, and of course, our incredible team! From the music and dancing to the food, décor, laughter, and all the special moments in between, it was truly a night to remember.

And while the pictures and videos capture the fun, what they don’t always show is the teamwork behind it all.

Every successful event takes a village, and Havana Night was no exception. Thank you to every department and every team member who contributed, whether you helped plan, decorate, set up, prepare food, es**rt residents, serve families, clean up, or simply jumped in wherever you were needed.

Most importantly, thank you to our residents and their families for celebrating with us and making Havana Night so special. Seeing everyone together, laughing, dancing, and creating memories is what it’s all about.

A new chapter begins at Silverado.

This month, we proudly welcomed Wayne Sanner as our new Chief Executive Officer and President, as our founder, Loren Shook, stepped into the role of Executive Chairman and Founder.

For nearly 30 years, Loren led Silverado with one guiding belief: every person deserves to be treated with dignity, purpose, and love. That belief became who we are.

That legacy now moves forward. Wayne brings more than 25 years of healthcare leadership and the same commitment to the people at the heart of everything we do.

Smiles tell the real story at Silverado. 💜

The smile that lights up when a favorite song starts playing. The quiet smile shared between a resident and the caregiver who knows exactly how she takes her coffee. The big, full-belly laugh during a culinary class. The soft smile when a four-legged friend curls up beside her chair.

These moments are not random. They are the result of a community built around what truly matters. Connection. Familiarity. Purpose. Joy. Every day at Silverado is intentionally designed to create the conditions for residents to feel safe, seen, and genuinely happy.

Every person who walks through our doors carries a lifetime of stories. The careers they built. The music that moved them. The meals their mother used to make. The road trips, the love stories, the everyday joys that shaped who they are.

Those stories matter. They shape the meals served, the songs played, the activities offered, and the way each day unfolds. Because a diagnosis does not define a person, and the life they have lived deserves to be honored every single day.

Every resident is a whole human. A whole story. A whole life still being lived.

What makes Silverado different? Walk into any of our communities and you will feel it immediately. 💜

Dogs roam freely. Children visit and fill the halls with laughter. Music plays. The smell of something delicious drifts in from culinary class. Residents tend to gardens, paint, dance, and move through their day surrounded by life.

Most senior care environments feel clinical. Silverado feels like home, and that is by design. The research is clear: connection, sensory engagement, and purpose are what truly support people living with dementia. We do not treat enrichment as something extra. It is the foundation of everything we do.
