The Summer Solstice is an invitation to pause and acknowledge your own growth.
So often we’re focused on what’s next that we forget to celebrate how far we’ve already come.

The Solstice reminds us to honour our achievements, recognise our resilience and reconnect with the joy, creativity and abundance that already exists within us.

Take a few moments on Sunday to step outside, feel the warmth of the sun and reflect on the person you are becoming.

One of my favourite little rituals is creating a seasonal, or even monthly, bucket list. Not because I want to cram more into my schedule, but because it helps me be more intentional with my life. It's so easy for weeks and months to blur together, especially when we're busy, and before you know it, another season has passed.

A bucket list gives me small things to look forward to, whether that's watching a sunrise, visiting somewhere new, reading a particular book, picking flowers, or trying something I've never done before. It reminds me that life isn't only made up of the big milestones. It's built from tiny moments of joy, curiosity, adventure and magic. I think that's why I love it so much. It helps me participate in my life rather than simply move through it.

One of the biggest things I witness in my work is people doubting what they already feel deeply within themselves. They come looking for certainty, answers, permission, or clarity, but most of the time I am not telling them something entirely new. I am confirming what their soul has already been trying to show them.

Your intuition speaks long before your mind can rationalise it. It shows up as a quiet feeling, a pull, discomfort, resistance, excitement, grief, expansion, or a deep sense that something in your life is no longer aligned. But so many of us have been taught to override those feelings in favour of logic, security, expectation, or what appears successful from the outside. Often, when we are genuinely moving towards alignment, fear becomes louder because we worry we are making the wrong decision, but it is because we are stepping closer to our authentic selves.

Alignment asks us to stop shrinking, stop performing, and stop abandoning ourselves in order to feel accepted, safe, or validated.
That can feel incredibly uncomfortable when you have spent years building an identity around survival rather than truth.
This is why guidance matters, because sometimes we need support clearing through the noise of fear, conditioning, doubt, and external pressure so we can hear ourselves again.

My Guidance Medicine Readings are designed to help you reconnect with your intuition, your truth, and the deeper path your soul is already asking you to walk.
My role is not to tell you who you are. It is to help you remember.

I opened my old journals last night and met a version of me l had almost forgotten.

Pages stained with life, questions I never answered, a woman at 42 still wondering if she was too much, too late, not enough.

I wish I could tell her what I know now, that nothing was wasted. That every “falling apart” was quietly becoming.
At 50, I see her clearly now, the witch they called too intense, the woman who finally stopped abandoning herself, the author who learned her voice was never the problem.
We were never behind.

We were always enough then, now, always.

Now is the season for one of my favourite herbs, MINT.
So often, we rush to learn what a plant can do for us before taking the time to truly know it. Yet some of the deepest magic begins when we slow down, pay attention, and build a relationship with the plants growing around us.

Mint is generous. It spreads with determination, carries a refreshing energy, and has long been associated with healing, abundance, protection, and clarity. Whether it's growing wild in the garden, steeped in tea, added to spellwork, or simply enjoyed for its scent, mint has much to teach those willing to listen.

Sometimes the most powerful magic isn't found in complicated rituals or rare ingredients. It begins by sitting beside a plant, observing its nature and allowing it to share the wisdom it already holds.

I still can't believe this story came to me on a delayed train home from London.

Earlier that day, I'd had lunch with a publishing team and spent hours talking about books, storytelling and creativity. Then on the journey home, the train stopped and stayed stopped for almost two extra hours.

Somewhere between exhaustion, rain on the windows, and staring into the dark countryside, an entire fantasy series arrived in my mind.
I grabbed my journal and started writing before I could lose it.

Now, somehow, I'm writing my first novel, with no literary agent, no publisher. Just a story I can't stop thinking about.
Maybe that's how magic starts.

One of the questions I am asked most often is,
"What is a witch?"

For me, the answer has very little to do with stereotypes, labels, or appearances. Witchcraft is a relationship. It is a way of walking through the world with awareness, reverence and connection.

A witch notices the changing seasons, listens to intuition, learns from the plants, honours the land and understands that the sacred can be found in ordinary moments. It is about remembering what has always been there beneath the noise of modern life.

In many ways, the witch's journey is a journey home to yourself, to nature and to the wisdom that has been waiting for you all along.

A little staycation escape into nature with my daughter, just the two of us, to slow down, reconnect and soak in the magic of quiet places. From a hidden mirrored cabin surrounded by trees and the most beautiful garden, to a peaceful wander around Charlestown Harbour, it was exactly the reset we didn't know we needed. Two witches, a lot of nature and a reminder that the simplest moments are often the most powerful.

Dandelions are often dismissed, pulled up, or overlooked, yet they are among the most magical plants we encounter.

For witches and folk herbalists, dandelions have long been associated with resilience, abundance, wish magic, solar energy, and transformation. They appear without invitation, flourish despite challenges, and remind us that beauty and strength can emerge in the most unexpected places.

One of my favourite things about dandelions is the lesson they embody. They do not resist change. They bloom brightly, transform completely, and then surrender their seeds to the wind, trusting the next stage of their journey.

Sometimes the plants growing closest to us have the most important teachings to share. We simply need to slow down long enough to notice them.
