: Dear one, feeling numb is feeling. It tells me that you care.

Remember systemic change requires collective action. The antidote is connection.

One of the most powerful forces to gently resensitise numbness is love.

Love is a verb.

This book was like a balm to my heart and soul 🦋🫀🌹

Some of the biggest takeaways for me:
🌀 Defining susto and reflecting about the susto I have experienced, and the one I carry from my lineage

🌀 Hearing about Robyn’s reclamation journey and how it helped with feeling rooted

🌀 The spiritual teachers (maestros) lessons and recommendations given to Robyn. In a way I felt they were telling it to me. I related so much.

🌀 The healer is always healing. This message given by one of the maestras resonated so much. Healing doesn’t have a due date.

🌀 Healing is…a unfreezing…a remembering…an apology…a forgiveness…

Thank you for a beautiful book, filled with many aha’s, reflections, practices and inspiration.

And please go and check it out. If you like to audio listen books, this one is a total delight, her storytelling skills are remarkable and her voice felt very soothing.

If you’ve read it, share 👇🏽 what was some of your takeaways.

¡Mi gente! It’s been extra hard and intense lately. We are experiencing collective traumas, some more directly than others - especially communities in the Middle East, Congo, Sudan, and recently communities in Guatemala, Chile, and more.

Witnessing others’ pain has detrimental effects, including vicarious trauma. It can also reignite wounds we carry ancestrally or from earlier experiences in our lives.

Part of our response includes avoidance as a way to “protect” ourselves - numbing ourselves with work, substances, food, drama, etc.

While it’s important to disconnect at times for activities promoting wellbeing, and to help us sustain ourselves in the long run, collective pain calls for collective healing. We must find ways to root deep into our wisdom, care, and feel supported by others, our well ancestors and by the energies of the Great Mother and Great Father.

Isolation is not the answer; it only promotes more time for unhelpful thoughts to take hold and for behaviors to soothe us at any cost.

We are being called to heal in community, to see each other as we are, respect one another, collaborate, and find ways to move forward. Separation is the tool of the oppressor (divide and conquer).

I know how easy it is to want to retreat to your cave and stay there. I’ve been there and done that, but that only provides comfort in the short term. To continue this marathon of liberation, we need you well, in strong communities, and feeling supported.

That is exactly how I see the retreat and I co-created. We weave healing, liberation, from a trauma-informed perspective (with over 16 years of experience), integrating ancestral and soul wisdom, with compassion, ease, and joy.

We know times are tough financially; we’re feeling it too. That’s why we’re continually problem-solving ways to make it more affordable and sustainable for us as well.

Listen to your body, and if you feel you belong at the May 1-4, 2024 retreat, write ME 👇🏽, and I will send you a direct link.

BIPOC women and femmes, you’re invited to Reclaiming My Voice and Roots retreat that I’m co-facilitating with my Boricua hermana in Utuado, PR on May 2024!

I’m feeling the collective grief, rage and disappointment going on in the World after learning more about the ongoing g3nocides in the World, and even seeing some of the atrocities communities in Gaza, Sudan, Congo, Haití, and many more, via social media. And, I’m also feeling the collective resurfaced ancestral wounding our lineages experienced…

But I am also hearing louder my inner voice saying that this is the time I was born for. My (our) medicine is exactly for times like these. Showing up (even in our own way) is what is needed.

This offering is more than a retreat. It has been created in a very thoughtful, loving way, with guidance not only from our collective gifts and medicinas, but also from our ancestors (and yours). And catered and protected by one of the most special lands in Borikén - mountains of Utuado.

If you’re feeling the call, please don’t hesitate to contact either of us. Also, in an effort to make it more affordable and accessible, we’re now offering the opportunity of splitting the room and cost when you join with a friend or family member; while also promoting lineages healing ❤️‍🩹

This second cohort is so powerful and I cannot wait to see you in person to co-create healing, starting with our own.

Check link in BIO for the page with all the info, and the link to schedule the application call.

We are here NOW for a reason. Go within and seek the answers. And if this retreat resonates for you, we look forward to seeing in Utuado in May 2024!

My thoughts on it - Trauma is a big component in the way many are reacting/responding; including us in the periphery.

HOWEVER, trauma responses/reaction DON’T justify terrorist attacks and genocides.

There is a Loud Call for us to heal our wounds. Obviously there are times to do it, and when you’re in the midst of surviving, then that is all your task.

When you’re out of an imminent risk, then you have the privilege to start the healing journey - which is most of those of us on this platform.

That’s the invitation I keep hearing in my quiet thoughts and when communing in nature - Go within and explore those wounds that have the potential of hurting others in the name of safety.

All while doing the external acts to help end genocides, wars, ethnic cleanses, antisemitism, islamophobia, racism, hunger, forced occupations, abuse, and more.

Dear grieving ones,

🪷I see you.
🪷I see your grieving heart.
🪷I see the pain.

What’s happening currently in the World (genocide, terrorist attacks, natural disasters, violent crimes, and so much more) is bringing back ancestral and collective traumas and so many emotions, including anger, rage, sadness, worries and grief.

👉🏽We invite you to join us on on a nurturing conversation on tending to our grief, with Natalie Gutierrez, LMFT - author, trauma therapist, and retreat co-facilitator.

May it soothe your aching heart ❤️. May it provide some respite. May it remind you that you’re not alone.

I hope you join us, this Friday, October 27th at 2:30 pm ET.

With love,
Lydiana

In family constellation work, there is this saying of what shows up in the “field” is because is needing to be seen. And then, the attention and validation is provided to it. For the majority of cases I’ve seen that by that “simple” and yet complex action, the hurt softens and the wound heals.

In times like these, notice the activations. What wounds are resurfacing. What emotions are coming through. What needs to be seen, witnessed, validated and shown love to.

“As within, so without, as above, so below, as the Universe, so the Soul”

Take care beloveds, and help in the ways you feel called to. Also be mindful/bodyful/soulful of what’s yours that is also asking to be seen, vs. what is theirs.

With love,
Lydiana

Yesterday we had the last group post-retreat integration call, and I am feeling so much gratitude for this first group. It could not have been more perfect.

It felt like a celebration!

It’s beautiful to see how when we get grounded and rooted into who we are, where
we come from, and connected to our ancestors and soul’s wisdom, that things emerge.

Thank you for trusting us 🥹

And for those of you that want to join our second retreat in May 1-4, make sure to apply via the link in BIO.

Those that are joining are amazing and I can’t wait to do it all over again.
