☀️ Heat Wave Alert: Stay Hydrated, Stay Healthy! 💧

Extreme heat can affect anyone, but older adults are especially vulnerable to dehydration and heat-related illness.

Watch for these signs of dehydration:
💧 Dry mouth or lips
💧 Dark yellow urine or decreased urination
💧 Dizziness or lightheadedness
💧 Fatigue or unusual weakness
💧 Headache
💧 Confusion or increased forgetfulness

Hydration Tips:
✅ Drink water consistently throughout the day—even if you don't feel thirsty.
✅ Limit alcohol and excessive caffeine, which can contribute to dehydration.
✅ Enjoy water-rich foods like watermelon, cucumbers, oranges, and strawberries.
✅ Stay indoors during the hottest part of the day whenever possible.
✅ Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and use fans or air conditioning.
