Last week of the OC Fair 🎡☀️ If you’re heading out for one more round of rides, food and fun, here are 5 quick tips to help you stay safe:

💧 1. Hydrate before you’re thirsty
Bring a refillable water bottle and take regular water breaks, especially if you’re spending hours outside.

☀️ 2. Protect yourself from the sun
SPF, sunglasses, a hat + shade breaks. And don’t forget to reapply your sunscreen!

👟 3. Wear supportive shoes
You’re going to be doing A LOT of walking. Comfortable shoes can help prevent blisters, sore feet and slips.

🍗 4. Be smart about food
Clean your hands before eating, especially after visiting the animals, riding rides or touching other high-touch surfaces. Skip anything that looks or smells questionable, and give yourself time to digest before hopping on a ride.

🚨 5. Know the signs of overheating
Headache, dizziness, nausea, weakness or feeling unusually tired? Take a break somewhere cool, hydrate and don’t try to push through it.

U.S. Open of Surfing starts today and runs through August 2 🌊☀️

If you’re going at any point, quick reality check:
• The sand is WAY hotter than you think, sandals will save your feet
• Load up on SPF + reapply or you will feel it
• Yes, there are hydration stations, but you still need more water than you think 💧
• There’s barely any shade. Bring your own if you can
• Sunglasses/hat = not optional
• Parking fills up fast. Be ready for a walk, a beach wagon will save you
• It cools off fast when the sun dips. Bring a layer

Have fun, stay hydrated, don’t fry 🤙
