There's no perfect diet. But there ARE a few truths that make all the difference.
After working with clients one-on-one for two decades, these are the things I come back to again and again:
Protein is everything.
It fights cravings, boosts your metabolism, and helps you build the muscle that keeps your body burning fat even at rest. A high-protein diet alone can cut how much you eat by up to 20%.
Fat is not the enemy.
I know we were all told otherwise. But healthy fats from avocado, nuts, olive oil, and fish actually help you feel satisfied and eat less. Low-fat diets don't work long-term. Period.
It's not about cutting carbs, it's about choosing the RIGHT ones.
Broccoli, leafy greens, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts load your plate. Ditch the refined sugars and starches.
And please… stop depriving yourself. If you love chocolate, cutting it out completely is a setup for failure. It's about finding balance, not punishment.
