Sofia’s journey resonates with so many young people because she understands firsthand what it is like to navigate mental health challenges while also struggling with an eating disorder.

Friends of Wellnest gathered on Saturday, August 1st, for an elegant Garden Party at the private residence of Ronit and Ron Stone. Set against a beautiful garden backdrop, the intimate gathering brought together supporters and community champions for an afternoon of connection and philanthropy, in support of Wellnest!

Guests enjoyed a lovely ambiance while learning more about Wellnest’s mission to strengthen the emotional health and well-being of children and families, including a powerful testimonial from Wellnest client (and now employee!) Sofia. Plus a special performance by harpist Mariea Antoinette.

On Saturday, August 1, Wellnest gathered for a beautiful afternoon with an even greater purpose. 🌿✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Friends of Wellnest Garden Party in support of our mission to strengthen the mental health and well-being of children, youth, and families.

The afternoon featured inspiring remarks from President & CEO Charlene Dimas-Peinado, Board Chair Alicia Jacobs, and Vice President of Philanthropy Angele Price, a captivating performance by award-winning harpist , and a powerful story of hope and resilience shared by Wellnest client and staff member Sofia.

A heartfelt thank you to Ronit and Ron Stone for graciously hosting this special event, and to everyone who helped make the day so meaningful. Your support makes it possible to create hope, healing, and opportunity for children and families across Los Angeles. 💚

Our Healing Nest Trauma-Informed Toolkits are officially complete! 💚

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible volunteers who came together to assemble these toolkits in support of families and young adults impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. Each toolkit is filled with resources designed to promote healing, resilience, and emotional well-being, and will soon be distributed to community members in need of compassionate care and support during this difficult time.

Together, we’re helping our community heal, one toolkit at a time. 💙

On June 27, Wellnest was proud to participate in the LA84 Foundation’s Play Day Block Party, a free annual festival celebrating the National Day of Play with interactive sports, live music, and fun family activities!

A special thank you to Crystal McNeal, Wellnest’s Director of Housing and the Life Learning Center, for representing Wellnest and connecting families with information about our emotional health and wellness services. Events like these help us bring resources directly into the community while celebrating the power of play, connection, and well-being.
