THE PROSECUTION’S OWN EVIDENCE JUST BACKFIRED.

A Google search they pointed to wasn’t even made by Lindsay — she wasn’t home.

Then the defense broadened the search beyond the prosecution’s selected keywords, revealing searches about psychosis, schizophrenia, medications and her mental state.

This is why context matters. You can’t cherry-pick evidence and call it the “whole story.“

THE CLANCY TRIAL WAS ROUGH TODAY.

Lindsay openly sobbed as graphic autopsy testimony was presented, and at one point the judge called a recess.

What continues to stand out to me is how many opportunities there appear to have been for intervention before this tragedy.

This case is devastating on LITERALLY EVERY level. But if we’re going to talk about what happened, we also need to talk about what failed before it happened.

And today made that impossible to ignore.

CLANCY CASE UPDATE: THE MESSAGES STOPPED — AND THAT MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT DETAILS YET.

For months, Lindsay Clancy was reportedly reaching out, documenting her symptoms, reporting intrusive thoughts and saying she was scared. Then she went quiet.

According to the testimony discussed here, she became catatonic, struggled to communicate and process language, and stopped reporting what was happening.

She didn’t stop asking for help because everything was suddenly okay. The question is why no one recognized what her silence could mean.

LINDSAY CLANCY DAY 10: JENNIFER TUFTS’ TESTIMONY RAISED SOME SERIOUS QUESTIONS.

Lindsay was reportedly deteriorating, expressing hopelessness and fears of harming herself, while concerns about psychosis and the adequacy of her assessments took center stage.

The question now is: how many warning signs were missed?

CLANCY CASE: The prosecution has to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that Lindsay Clancy was criminally responsible.

And after everything we’ve heard — 13 medications, 30+ prescribers, five health systems, and zero coordination — how can anyone say there’s NO reasonable doubt?

You don’t have to believe Lindsay. You just have to have REASONABLE doubt.

Dr. Resnick originated Altruistic Filicide. Lindsay was very religious. She said “go to god” to save the children. Dr. Spinelli is the most researched in this field. Dr. Zeizel was the first forensic psychologist to meet Lindsay, with no bias. There is already enough evidence.

As we head into Monday, I have a few recommendations—and a few questions I hope we hear asked.

The experience. The 17-minute appointments. The assessments that were never done. The fact that postpartum psychosis was never even included in the differential.

Because postpartum psychosis can fluctuate. A woman can appear organized in one moment and psychotic in another.

Kevin, Monday matters. Ask the questions that still haven’t been answered.

CLANCY TRIAL UPDATE: 131 DAYS. 3,144 HOURS. AND ONLY MINUTES OF ACTUAL PSYCHIATRIC OBSERVATION!!?

The prosecution wants you to believe psychosis would have been continuously observable, that Lindsay would have disclosed it if asked, and that brief clinical snapshots could accurately reflect her mental state over months.

As a psychologist, I have SERIOUS problems with that.

You cannot report on the time you did not spend with a patient. A lack of disclosure does not mean symptoms weren’t there. And with something as rare and complex as postpartum psychosis, you have to actually be looking for it!

LINDSAY CLANCY TRIAL UPDATE: HOW DO YOU RULE OUT A DIAGNOSIS YOU NEVER ACTUALLY LOOKED FOR?

Today’s testimony raised serious questions about the care Lindsay received before the deaths of her children.

No thyroid testing. No drug testing. No structured psychological testing. No prior records reviewed. And the psychiatrist testified she could not recall ever treating a case of postpartum psychosis—yet Lindsay was discharged after it was ruled out.

Lindsay was reporting intrusive thoughts, seeking help from multiple doctors, struggling with severe sleep disruption, and continuing to say something was wrong.

You cannot confidently exclude a diagnosis you never adequately investigated.
