π± Week 8: This week our campers became Garden Explorers and dug into a week full of hands-on crafts, sensory play, movement activities, and outdoor adventures! π»πͺ΄π From planting seeds and digging in the soil to watering plants, discovering garden critters, and exploring garden-themed obstacle courses, campers learned through play while getting their hands dirty and growing their skills.
As they explored the garden, campers practiced visual-motor integration, fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, motor planning, body awareness, balance, and following directions through a variety of hands-on activities. Group games and collaborative garden adventures also encouraged turn-taking, communication, cooperation, social participation, and self-regulation while giving campers opportunities to build confidence and problem-solving skills.
We loved watching our Garden Explorers get curious, work together, and discover new ways to learn, play, and grow all week long! π±πΈπ¦βοΈ
