BomaMed Health center

BomaMed Health center Chinese medicine. BomaMed was established by husband and wife Chinese Medical practitioners Boaz Brizman, M.T.O.M., L.Ac. and Matia Brizman, Ph.D, L.Ac. in 1997.

They have dedicated more than a decade of their life to the service of people challenged with difficult to treat medical conditions such as asthma, allergies, chronic gastrointestinal disorders, chronic Autoimmune disorders and Interstitial Cystitis as well as more main stream conditions such as orthopedic injuries and other commonly occurring problems. Over the years they have also come to treat

many children, helping parents be proactive in their children's health. This includes dietary work, preventive care and the treatment of cold, flus and other more serious childhood illnesses. In addressing any person's problems, they are treating holistically, so that the patient's health will improve from head to toe. This translates into the regulation weight, immune function, hormonal function, emotional well-being, etc... This is truly a family practice--family treating families with the goal to offer Chinese medicine in a western setting, thereby bridging the gap between western and eastern clinical philosophy, and offer a place where compassion and patience finds its place on a daily basis instead of the hurried bedside manner often found in many doctors offices today.

URGENT: Call Your Senators Before the August 6 Farm Bill Markup

From the Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance:

The Senate Agriculture Committee is scheduled to mark up the Farm Bill on August 6, (this week!). This is a critical step in determining what policies make it into the final legislation.

During a markup, committee members review, debate, and amend the Farm Bill before deciding whether to advance it to the full Senate. Once this process is complete, it becomes much harder to add new priorities.

If there was ever a time to contact your Senators, it's now.

Farmers and ranchers, not corporate and big industry lobbyists, should be shaping the future of American agriculture.

Ask Your Senators to Support the LOCAL Foods Act (S. 1212)

The bipartisan Welch-Lee LOCAL Foods Act would clarify and expand the personal-use exemption for on-farm slaughter to include joint and community ownership of livestock, making it easier for families and communities to purchase meat directly from local farmers.

Ask Your Senators to Support the PRIME Act (S. 2409)

The bipartisan King-Paul PRIME Act would allow the intrastate sale of meat processed at custom-exempt slaughter facilities, expanding processing options for livestock producers and increasing consumer access to locally raised meat.

Researchers in Selangor, Malaysia gathered rural and urban families and measured the organophosphate breakdown products in their urine. Then they put everyone on organic food and measured again. Three of the four markers they were looking at dropped significantly, while the fourth held steady. The largest reductions turned up in the children.

Then the families returned to their usual diet, and two of those three markers rose again. The study measured exposure, not illness. Nobody’s health was tracked, and it ran over a short window, which the authors say plainly.

What it does show is that a family’s pesticide levels go up and down with what they eat, and that the exposure is continuous rather than a one time load to be flushed out. The authors didn’t stop at telling people to do a better job of shopping. They wrote that dietary change has to be part of a broader strategy, and they call for policy and market action to make certified organic food affordable and available.

We agree, and we’ve been saying it for 28 years. As long as organic costs more, pesticide exposure is a class issue and children pay for it. That doesn’t change one grocery shopping day at a time. It changes when enough of us show up and fight for a more just, organic, and regenerative food system.

New Study: While the environmental and health harm of pesticides are well-known, many people ask: Can agriculture thrive without them? The answer, backed by a groundbreaking 10-year study in France, is a resounding YES. And the benefits extend far beyond mere feasibility. Although some pesticide-free systems yields were below those of conventional farming, some reached equivalent levels or even exceeded them. Moreover, estimated income was twice, three times or more the French national minimum wage in 80% of the monitored arable land. This 10-year study, led by France’s national agronomic and environment research institute INRAE, analyzed nine farming systems - including arable and mixed farming - across various regions of France. The trials were designed collaboratively with farmers and agricultural advisers within experimental units. They used an approach based on agroecological crop protection principles (prevention of the diseases, reliance on plant biodiversity and improvement or protection of soil health), while mineral fertilizers were allowed. The goal was to use zero pesticides while reducing biotic stress (caused by pests, fungi and weeds), with rotations that varied in duration from 5 to 9 years. Even biological pesticides were not used. Under certain conditions, pesticide-free crops matched or even surpassed conventional yields. At the Auzeville farm, pesticide-free wheat production exceeded conventional production in 2018, reaching 500 g/m² whilst the conventional version remained at around 400 g/m². The same applies to the production of other crops. For example, pesticide-free durum wheat production reached conventional levels in 2017, while pesticide-free triticale production surpassed conventional production in 2016 and 2019. Yield objectives were achieved in many site-years, even for crops whose yield performance is considered to be highly dependent on pesticides, such as rapeseed, sugar beet, and potato.

We don't need toxic pesticides. Anyone that's telling you that our farms and food systems would collapse without toxic chemicals is either misinformed or is outright lying to you.
