*New Therapist Spotlight*
Please join us in welcoming our newest clinician, Amber Salik! Amber (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, Expressive Arts Therapist, and Narrative Photographer. Intrigued? Read on!
Amber says that from a young age, she aspired to explore multiple professions that shared core philosophies of creativity, community, connection, and healing. Today, as an expressive arts therapist, she is driven by these same values and is passionate about using art as a tool to help people with clients from various backgrounds, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ adolescents and adults.
Her specialties include identity issues, holistic wellness, self-care, chronic illness, creative blocks, spirituality, life transitions, and relationships/attachments. As an expressive arts therapist, she says she aims to be “proactive in seeking out new ways to help my clients achieve their goals” and uses techniques from a variety of theoretical frameworks, such as IFS, Narrative Therapy, ACT, CBT, NTU Psychotherapy, and Strengths-Based, Person-Centered approaches. Amber uses a variety of art modalities, including photography, collage, and other visual arts, bibliotherapy, music movement, and psychodrama; centered in a culturally-specific and grounded approach to therapy that values diversity and social justice.
We are soooo excited to have Amber onboard and cannot wait to share her upcoming community photo therapy projects she has planned with you all! If you’d like to set up a consultation with Amber to get started in your therapeutic journey, you can reach her at [email protected] OR text us at 323-536-1640
