We know that our children learn from modeling our behavior. What happens when you live differently as an adult and how you grew up and your children see you living in this way not the way you grew up? How do you instill those values upon them when they didn’t have the same life experiences you did? There are many circumstances where you don’t have to experience something to still know the lesson. For example, you don’t steal because you know it’s wrong and you know that you could go to jail if you steal, but you don’t steal because you know it’s wrong and you know that you don’t need to steal to learn that lesson. How do we translate these lessons to our children without them necessarily having to experience it? Let’s me know in the comments what you think and how you feel about this.
