OJ the Dog Reunited With Family

A missing miniature poodle named OJ has been safely reunited with his family thanks to the help of a Citizen user.

OJ, a red miniature poodle without a collar, was reported missing Saturday afternoon near Dorrington Avenue and Kagel Canyon Street. Community members quickly shared information and kept an eye out for the dog.

By Saturday evening, Citizen users helped locate OJ, allowing him to be safely returned home. The incident has since been resolved.

Fire department personnel were seen drawing water from a lake Saturday afternoon near 750 S Santa Anita Ave, according to Citizen user video from the scene.

The operation prompted an emergency response in the area as crews utilized the lake as a water source. Authorities have not released details regarding the incident or the reason for the water retrieval.

Heavy smoke rose over the neighborhood after a fire that began as a reported trash fire spread and fully engulfed a detached garage Saturday morning near Elden Ave.

Firefighters responded quickly and found the structure heavily involved in flames. Citizen video showed a large smoke column visible from the area as crews worked to contain the blaze. Officials later reported the fire was knocked down, and no additional resources were required.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Two taco stand workers were shot after suspects attempted a robbery Monday night. Investigators say two individuals approached the stand demanding cash before one of them opened fire on both workers.

Firefighters launched a hoist rescue operation in Runyon Canyon in the morning after reports of a hiker in distress near the trail.

Emergency crews responded near 2000 N Fuller Ave, where firefighters prepared an aerial rescue while police assisted two children at the trailhead. Multiple Citizen users captured video from the scene as responders worked in the canyon area.

Authorities have not released information on the hiker’s condition. The incident remains active.

The Bain Fire burning along the Santa Ana River bottom in Jurupa Valley has grown to 1,497 acres and is now 39% contained, according to officials.

Firefighters continue working near Bain St and Limonite Ave as the wildfire moves through dense vegetation in the riverbed area. The rapid spread prompted a significant emergency response, with both ground crews and aerial resources engaged in containment efforts.

Officials say a care and reception center has been set up at the Skyview Event Center on Wineville Ave, providing evacuees with shelter information, food, water, reunification assistance, and animal services.
