🤯 20 YEARS OF DAILY MIGRAINES… NOW WE FIX THE REST.

For over 20 years, Ann lived with daily migraines, headaches, neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain.

After beginning Gonstead Chiropractic care with Dr. Rahim, she reports stopping her migraine and headache medication just one week later. She recalls experiencing migraines about once a week for a short period after stopping the medication, and then they completely disappeared.

Now, in Part 3 of her journey, migraines are no longer her primary complaint.

Her focus has shifted to improving her neck and back pain so she can continue restoring the balance and function of her body.

During today’s Gonstead examination, Dr. Rahim found specific findings involving:
✔️ C1 (Atlas)
✔️ C3
✔️ T9
✔️ L5

He also performed specific adjustments to her:
• Knees
• Ankles
• Shoulders
• Hands

One of the biggest goals in chiropractic is not simply chasing symptoms, but identifying and correcting structural imbalances that may be contributing to nervous system dysfunction.

Every patient responds differently to care. This post shares one patient’s reported experience and is not a guarantee of similar results.

We’re excited to continue documenting Ann’s journey as her body continues to adapt and improve.

Most chiropractors don’t use this… but it can make a BIG difference. 👣

Here’s why I use a Speeder Board for certain foot and ankle adjustments.

Most people focus on where the chiropractor adjusts.

Few people ask how the adjustment is delivered.

One tool I use for certain foot and ankle adjustments is called a Speeder Board.

Its purpose isn’t to “crack” the joint louder, it’s to improve the biomechanics of the adjustment.

The Speeder Board absorbs the reactionary forces that normally push back into the doctor’s body. This allows a more efficient transfer of force into the specific joint being adjusted while making the adjustment more comfortable for both the patient and the doctor.

In this video, I demonstrate the difference using an anterior misaligned talus, one of the most common foot misalignments I see after ankle injuries.

Notice how the mechanics change when the Speeder Board is used.

In Gonstead Chiropractic, specificity matters. The goal isn’t simply to make a joint move, it’s to restore the joint’s normal biomechanics with the most precise adjustment possible.

Note: The speeder board is not taught or part of the gonstead extremity protocols. My gonstead extremity mentor used it in practice everyday. We use the gonstead contacts taught, the speeder board for comfort.

Have you ever sprained your ankle or had lingering stiffness that never felt quite right afterward?

He fixed his limp… with ONE squat. 😳

After years of spinal surgeries, including a laminectomy and fusion, Fakadu still struggled with foot drop, stiffness, and limping every time he sat in his car for too long.

During this visit, he showed Dr. Rahim something unexpected.

Whenever he became stiff, he would perform one squat… and immediately walk with less stiffness and a smoother gait.

That simple movement gave Dr. Rahim an important clue.

After a detailed Gonstead examination and reviewing his X-rays, Dr. Rahim believed years of scar tissue and adhesions around the L5-S1 and sacroiliac region were limiting normal movement. While the chiropractic adjustments helped restore spinal alignment, scar tissue can continue restricting motion if it isn’t specifically addressed.

On this visit, Dr. Rahim found misalignment and nerve pressure involving the coccyx, sacrum, C3, and T9 before performing specific Gonstead adjustments.

After the adjustment, Fakadu reported less pain, but some stiffness remained. When he performed another squat, he was able to walk more freely again.

Using Fakadu’s X-rays and a spine model, Dr. Rahim explained how instrument-assisted soft tissue work, such as body scraping (Gua Sha), may help improve mobility by addressing long-standing adhesions alongside specific chiropractic care.

Healing isn’t always about one thing.

Sometimes spinal alignment, scar tissue, movement, posture, and daily habits all need to be addressed together.

He already had one hip replaced…
Now he’s been told the other one needs surgery too.

For years, Neal thought his hips were the problem.

But his story was much bigger than that.

After decades of basketball, volleyball, multiple surgeries, and one total hip replacement, Neal was told his other hip would likely need to be replaced as well.

He came to see Dr. Rahim with one goal: to move better so he could keep playing the beach volleyball he loves and improve his quality of life.

During a comprehensive Gonstead examination and full-spine weight-bearing X-ray analysis, Dr. Rahim found something that dated back much further, an old childhood tailbone injury that had created compensations throughout Neal’s spine over the years.

On examination, Dr. Rahim found misalignment and nerve pressure at:
✔️ S4
✔️ L3
✔️ C7
✔️ C1

He also found specific misalignments in Neal’s shoulders and ankles.

This case is different from many others on this page.

The goal isn’t to prevent another hip replacement.

The goal is to improve spinal balance, reduce nerve pressure, and create the best possible foundation so Neal can move better now, and be in a stronger position whenever future surgery becomes necessary.

This is Part 1 of Neal’s journey.

What surprised you most about this case?

She didn’t come looking for a cure for MS. She came looking for a better quality of life.

Kathi has been living with multiple sclerosis for over 20 years. Long before her diagnosis, years of injuries had created scoliosis and structural compensations throughout her spine.

Her goal wasn’t to treat her MS, it was to address the mechanical problems affecting how her body moved and felt.

Now in Part 3 of her journey, Kathi shares the progress she’s experienced:

✅ Better neck mobility
✅ Better shoulder range of motion
✅ Sleeping better
✅ Feeling better overall

After a detailed Gonstead examination, Dr. Rahim found continued misalignment and nerve pressure at C3 and L5, then performed specific chiropractic adjustments based on her findings.

Every patient is unique. Chiropractic care does not treat or cure multiple sclerosis, but by improving spinal mechanics and reducing structural stress, some patients report improvements in comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life.

We’re grateful to Kathi for allowing us to share her journey.

Most people think the elbow is one joint…
It’s actually several joints working together.

The elbow is made up of multiple joints, and each can become misaligned differently after an injury or years of repetitive use.

In this video, a patient traveled from Hong Kong to Dubai for a Gonstead examination. Through detailed palpation and motion analysis, Dr. Rahim identified:
✔️ A posterior distal humerus (medial listing)
✔️ A posterior lateral radial head

Each misalignment requires a different line of correction. The goal isn’t simply to make the elbow “crack” it’s to restore the joint’s biomechanics with a specific adjustment based on objective findings.

That’s one of the principles of the Gonstead System: examine first, adjust specifically.

Have you ever injured your elbow or dealt with elbow pain that just wouldn’t go away?

She felt an electric sensation in her tailbone… when I pressed on her MID-BACK. ⚡🤯
How is that even possible?

The spine and nervous system are more connected than most people realize.

During this examination, I pressed on my patient’s T5 vertebra in her mid-back. Instead of only feeling discomfort there, she immediately felt an electric sensation all the way down into her tailbone.

How can that happen?

The nervous system functions as one connected system, and irritation in one area can sometimes reproduce symptoms somewhere else. That’s why I don’t chase symptoms, I perform a detailed Gonstead examination to identify where the spine is actually under stress.

After examining her, I performed a specific T5 adjustment on the Hi-Lo table. I wanted an even more precise correction, so I followed with a seated thoracic Gonstead adjustment, one of my favorite ways to adjust the thoracic spine when indicated.

Immediately afterward, she reported that both her mid-back and lower back felt better.

This is an important reminder:

Pain isn’t always where the problem starts.

That’s why specificity matters. The goal isn’t simply to make the spine crack, it’s to identify the exact area of dysfunction and restore better spinal mechanics.
