Q’s riff on why
1) rehab isn’t training if load is insufficient to trigger physiological adaptations.
2) if statistical effect sizes reveal there is minimal difference between manual therapy, low load exercise or training then treatment pluralism argues for moving on from internet claims about having the “best” treatment for X MSK pain.
3) since anyone one treatment isn’t superior to another that MSK healthcare providers need to lean into their role in promoting meeting the PAGs to mitigate risk of future NCDs.

“So we need better treatments for pain?”
Kate Purcell
“That would be amazing! But I’m not sure it’s coming anytime soon. Maybe it’s time we leaned into more preventative approaches. Strategies that reduce over-diagnosis, build resilience, and ease suffering might serve us better than reactive care - what do you think?”

Our intent is for all our coaches & clinicians to have a positive impact in their communities. A theme was for everyone to have more resources than their demands so they burn in not burn out. Ideally we gain confidence in co-creating meaningful, personalized plans with people which are reassuring & ⬆️ self-efficacy.

These weekends in LA & NY were for establishing connections so we’re all part of a crew supporting each other regardless where we live. .ryanchow

I hope everyone joins our FPM Roundtable for our new series “Q It Up w/ Q” which starts Saturday, May 3rd. Other Roundtable “Meet Up” guests coming up include co-author of the new ACSM RT Guidelines & tendon health expert.

Our community are Badasses challenging the status quo by focusing on transformational relationships rather than transactional services. It’s about being present with people, rather than simply “doing” things. Most of all it’s about de-complexifying so we can apply what we learn efficiently w/out feeling like an imposter or burning out.

Many more courses coming soon such as with & in November at EXOS w/ all of our faculty.
