MEDITATION MONDAY: We turn our attention to Pingala Nadi—traditionally associated with the solar, active and expansive qualities within us.

Through conscious breathing, we explore what happens when the breath becomes more than something that simply keeps us alive—

and becomes a pathway into consciousness.

As the breath expands, awareness expands.
As awareness expands, possibility expands.

This practice invites us to awaken our inner vitality, become more present, and experience the energy of life moving through us rather than simply around us.

Because consciousness isn’t necessarily somewhere we need to go.

Perhaps it is something we uncover when we become fully present to what is already here.

Breathe. Awaken. Expand. ☀️

Dr. Julian Neil

Here we go again, it’s time to go back to school! And then we remember that things like 🪳LICE🪳 exist in kids school environments.
Root and Scalp Formula Treatment Tonic Shampoo is actually a preventative against head lice. The essential oils used in the formula can protect your kids hair and scalp from letting those nasties get comfortable. And while it’s not a “no more tears” formula, our formulations are 100% from nature and don’t contain any of the damaging chemicals that most commercial brands do.
Also — if any of your children suffer from skin issues such as psoriasis or eczema, you can use the Root and Scalp Formula in the bath and let their skin soak in that, it will definitely help.
Have a great - lice free - school year friends!

Meditation Monday
The Freedom Between Breath and Reaction 🙏

Viktor Frankl taught us that even when we cannot control what happens around us, we retain a profound freedom—the freedom to choose our attitude and how we respond.

But sometimes, before we can choose differently, we first need to change our inner state.

In this Meditation Mondays, we explore the yogic understanding of the Ida, Pingala and Sushumna Nadis—and use a beautifully simple breath practice through the Ida Nadi, traditionally associated with calming, cooling and turning our awareness inward.

With a slow 10-second inhale and 10-second exhale, we allow the breath to become an anchor—quieting the mind, settling the emotions, and creating space between what happens to us and how we respond.

Because perhaps our greatest freedom begins right there:

In the space between reaction and response.

We cannot always choose the circumstances of our lives.
But with awareness, we can cultivate how we meet them.

Breathe slowly.
Come back to center.
And choose from there.

With love,
Dr. Julian Neil

BURDOCK ROOT
Burdock root is a vegetable native to Northern Asia and Europe, though it now grows in the United States. Burdock has been used for centuries in holistic medicine to treat a variety of different conditions. Burdock root has been shown to contain multiple types of powerful antioxidants that protect the scalp and hair from free radicals as well as reducing inflammation. Research also has found that burdock root effectively detoxified the blood and promoted increased circulation in the surface of the skin (*17). The increased circulation the root provides bolsters opening up the capillaries under the dermatitis layer and eliminating waste and toxins. Burdock has long been used to treat skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, dermatitis, and eczema and the root’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties can help resolve skin issues when applied topically to the skin(*18). There is further evidence that burdock root may help treat topical burns. Burdock root has also been used to prevent thinning hair and bals spots and encouraging hair growth. Thinning hair and bald spots come from several factors including vitamin deficiencies such as low vitamin D, vitamin A or Vitamin C, iron, folic acid, and a bad diet. Burdock root contains the following vitamins and elements that help combat thinning hair including vitamin B6, manganese, magnesium, potassium, folate, vitamin C, phosphorous, calcium, iron and copper. There is even evidence that burdock root can diminish the effects of aging by retaining collagen and reducing inflammation.

Weekend Vibes 🐬

We spend so much of our lives doing.

Working. Thinking. Planning. Solving. Taking care of everyone and everything around us.

But sometimes the nervous system needs something completely different.

Permission to stop.

In this Meditation Monday, we practice Chatachya Kriya, a wonderfully simple yogic meditation traditionally practiced to encourage deep relaxation, happiness, and renewal.

Through breath, stillness, and a unique mudra, we allow the nervous system to soften and the constant activity of the mind to become quiet.

Because rest isn’t the absence of productivity.

Sometimes rest is what makes everything else possible.

Give yourself 7–11 minutes today with nowhere to go, nothing to accomplish, and no one you need to become.

Just breathe.
Relax.
And simply be.

With love,
Dr. Julian Neil
