Ruling out hearing deficits is so important for speech. Even if you think child can hear, speech sounds are heard in different frequencies and the sound may not be received clearly. This is not the case for everyone, but I like to rule everything out to make sure there isn’t any underlying deficits.

We had a fun spirit week at speech this week raising attention to different communication disorders during national speech-language-hearing month and leading to tomorrow, speech therapist appreciation day 🥰 I felt so much love from my kiddos and their parents this week 💖 Don’t forget to tell your SLP’s how much they mean to you 🤗

This type of feedback means the world to me! I absolutely LOVE what I do and feel so lucky to be trusted to help change my clients lives! This amazing human received life-altering news. Gali is a super mom, and single mom to her beautiful son and previous client of mine. She is also a baker who unfortunately has been advised to stop working to begin intensive treatment.

She has a big heart and is always helping others! And now it’s her turn to receive our love and generosity 💖

This boy captured my heart the moment he came into it! Just one smile and my day has been made! 🥰

When Eytani first came to me we were working on vowel sounds, animal sounds, and identifying common objects. Today he is able to form sentences, answer hypothetical questions, is beginning to share more about personal experiences, and then some!! 🙌🏻

Although today is very bittersweet, and it’s not goodbye, I will miss seeing Eytani on a weekly basis! 😭 I am filled with so much pride in the progress he has made! I’m grateful that I was blessed and given the privilege to help him in his communication development! And thankful to his family for working alongside me and allowing me to push them to aid in his progress! Teamwork will always show better progress and we were a great team! 💪🏻

Eytani! Popai loves you forever and always, is so proud of you, and will always be here to cheer you on!! ✨

This sweet boy graduated this week!! He came to me just shy of 18 months with not much expressive language and low intelligibility, and now after a little more than 6 months he is performing above age level!! His progress showed from week to week and blew my mind!! 🥰

Parent involvement is huge for me and has been such a key to this boys progress! It’s about teamwork and everyone working together towards the goals. 💪🏻

I will miss this cute boys smile, sweet voice, and warm presence!! These graduations are always bittersweet but my heart bursts with pride!! I have no doubt you will continue to progress and I look forward to hearing about all future achievements!! 💙💪🏻🥰👨‍🎓
