The UCLA Nursing Science and Innovation Conference convenes nurses, nursing students and health care colleagues across clinical, academic and leadership roles to advance practice through science, evidence and bold thinking.

This year’s theme, Nurse-Led Future: Nursing Intelligence in the Age of AI, explores how clinical expertise, leadership and technology intersect to strengthen outcomes for patients, families and communities in a rapidly evolving health care environment.

We are honored to welcome our 2026 keynote speakers, Maxim Topaz, PhD, RN, FAAN, FIAHSI, FACMI, of Columbia University and VNS Health; and Olga Kagan, PhD, RN, FHIMSS, FAAAAI, FIEL, nurse scientist, informatics leader and founder and CEO of the Food Allergy Nursing Association. Together, their work explores how artificial intelligence, informatics and innovation are shaping the future of nursing practice, research and patient care.

We are honored that Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center has been selected for the NSPS Level 2 STAND Award from National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center! Our Emerging Infectious Diseases & Pandemic Preparedness Program (Office of Emergency Preparedness) will use contributions from this award to bolster healthcare preparedness.

Thanks to our friends at HBO's “The Pitt” TV series and Volvo Cars, an area of Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center was transformed into various suites designed to pamper our health care heroes. The experience featured branded partner activations, crafted mocktails, delectable healthy bites and recovery zones.

Two Hollywood-style pre-screenings of season two, episode three were offered for staff, along with a fireside chat featuring cast members from the show.

We appreciate the thoughtfully curated event with all the details that truly celebrated our teams!

We are honored to share that Newsweek has recognized Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on its list of America’s Best-in-State Hospitals 2026. The award highlighted clinical excellence, patient experience and innovation. Additionally, the hospital received special recognition for implementing PROM (Patient-Reported Outcome Measures), a multi-layered communication system that improves patient-clinician communication and health outcomes.
