El 15 de septiembre marca el comienzo de una celebración a nivel nacional de nuestra historia latina/hispana y nuestra cultura. El Mes de la Herencia Hispana se celebra hasta el 15 de octubre y nos gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para celebrar a nuestra comunidad hispana y la importancia de la salud mental. A lo largo del mes nos encantaría resaltar y compartir classes y eventos que NAMI Urban Los Angeles ofrece en español y para la comunidad hispana.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!
September 15 marks the beginning of a national celebration of our Latin/Hispanic history and our culture. Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated until October 15 and we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our Hispanic community and to talk about mental health. Throughout the month we would love to highlight and share upcoming classes and events that NAMI Urban Los Angeles offers to our Latino/Hispanic community.

Virtual NAMI LPS Conservatorship Mentoring Meeting

* This meeting is for those seeking to learn about the laws and processes regarding LPS Conservatorship for their loved ones, the new CARE ACT and Pilot project for Homeless people. LPS Conservatorship is the term for California’s involuntary mental health treatment. Our class is designed to walk you through the process beginning with placing your loved one in the hospital, acquiring financial resources and insurance, building a case for treatment, the legal court process and recovery expectations.
