International Whores’ Day 2026

Save the date! The Los Angeles LGBT Center, One Institute, and Stripper Worker Center will be hosting the first annual International Whores’ Day happening Tuesday, June 2 from 5-9 p.m at The Center’s Village at Ed Gould Plaza.

International Whores’ Day is an annual global day on June 2 honoring the 1975 Saint-Nizier Church occupation in Lyon, France, when s*x workers protested against police violence, criminalization, and stigma. This event commemorates that legacy through education, celebration, and community gathering.

This FREE event honors s*x workers across the world with live performances, light refreshments, a floating mural collaboration, an educational panel, a live DJ, a keynote speech, and MORE!

Join us for an evening featuring:

A keynote address from Sydney Rogers

An educational panel on s*x work history, resistance, and labor justice moderated by Tony Valenzuela, One Institute’s Executive Director

Live performances by Mylique E. Fawcett and FARRAH

Tabling with organizations that center SW, LGTBQ+ and Harm Reduction

Community Voices and MC led by Sydney Baloue

Music by DJ Mz Neon + drinks + dance party in the courtyard

Resource sharing, networking, and books!

RSVP is encouraged to help us plan capacity and hospitality. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the program begins at 6 p.m. Tickets are free (link in bio).
