In my latest Substack, I’m breaking down how I think about TECAR treatment in my daily practice, from choosing capacitive vs. resistive, adjusting tension and treatment time, to knowing when the tissue has had enough.

The goal isn’t maximum output. It’s the right biological response for the patient in front of you.

I also share how I combine TECAR with movement and manual therapy to make the treatment more functional and targeted.

I’ve been reading some fascinating research lately on microglia, the brain’s own immune cells, and I think they’re going to become a much bigger part of the conversation around healthy aging.

Most people know about GLP-1 because of weight loss, but there’s another side to the story that’s all about brain health, inflammation, and supporting the brain’s natural ability to repair itself. It’s one of the most interesting topics I’ve come across this year.

I dive into what I learned, why it matters, and a few practical strategies I recommend in my upcoming newsletter.

Life lately has been full of good food, good wine, and even better company 🌺🍷

Spent an unforgettable evening in Hawaii soaking up incredible memories. Watched Zach Laidlaw put together a stunning Kona kampachi crudo. Got to hang out with Top Chef alum Maneet Chauhan , whose energy is just as infectious in person as it is on TV. And then the Voltaggio brothers took over for a cooking demo paired perfectly with incredible wines from Hartford (Jeff Stewart)

For years I’ve recommended the Mediterranean diet as the gold standard for brain health. But new research is changing how I think about this and it’s important.

Eating more good food is not enough if ultra-processed foods are still part of your routine. The research is clear. Add the good AND remove the harmful.

I’ve been thinking a lot about energy lately, especially in patients dealing with chronic pain, fatigue, and fibromyalgia-like symptoms.

One of the reasons I use TECAR therapy is that I believe it’s doing more than simply warming tissues. By improving circulation, oxygen delivery, and waste removal, it may help create better conditions for your cells to produce energy and heal.

In my upcoming newsletter, I share my thoughts on the connection between TECAR, mitochondria, energy production, and some of the supplements I commonly recommend to support the process.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, tired, or like your body just isn’t recovering the way it should, this one’s for you.

When I look at how the body moves, one thing is clear. Everything is connected.

Even a simple movement like bending the knee can create changes through the pelvis, spine, and even up into the jaw and face.

As we get older, keeping good movement becomes really important. When joints get stiff or circulation slows down, it can affect how the whole body feels and functions, not just one area.

Blood flow is a big part of this. It helps bring oxygen and nutrients in, and helps the body remove waste so tissues can stay healthy.

In my office, I often use thermography to look at how the nervous system and circulation are working in real time. It can help show areas where the body may be under stress.

The main idea is simple. When we improve movement, we are also helping the body function and heal better.
