What may have been the outcome if this mother would have undergone AROM(artificial rupture of membranes)?

In the United States, 39% report breaking the bag of waters artificially. And the most common reason for AROM(artificial rupture of membrane) is to try to influence the speed of labor. Modern obstetrics glorifies "faster" over health and safety.

Babies have micro-movements that they make when descending into the pelvis and birth canal.
◇
When using Pitocin, lack of movement, coached purple pushing or pulling, the baby is unnaturally forced down.
◇
This reduces the baby's ability to make those micro-movements they need to navigate the pelvis adequately.
◇
Without the ability to navigate micro-movements freely, we see higher incidences of shoulder dystocia, "mal-positioning", "failure to progress", use of vacuum assistance and cesareans.
◇
Babies are active participants in birth.
◇
Stripping them of that can lead to poor outcomes.

So beautiful. I wish more people saw these types of births, not because they’re all like this but because of what is possible. Undisturbed physiological birth is never depicted in mainstream. So much dramatization and fear when it can be this simple and sweet
