Located three and a half miles from the beach in the heart of West Los Angeles, The Canyon at Santa Monica provides an exquisite healing oasis for individuals seeking recovery in an outpatient setting. We engage the whole person in the healing process and extend an invitation for each client’s loved ones to be involved in treatment to build a solid foundation for lasting recovery. An expert team o

f caring professionals provides support, structure and hope for recovery from co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders. Every patient receives an individually tailored program to meet his or her unique needs through group and individual therapy, life skills classes and an integration of 12-Step principles. In addition, our holistic services staff works to improve each patient’s physical, mental and spiritual well-being. This multidisciplinary team meets weekly to monitor the individual’s progress and determine the next therapeutic phase. Specific, measurable goals and objectives must be achieved by each patient prior to discharge. The Canyon at Santa Monica is proud to be a member of Foundations Recovery Network. The Fourth of July can be a time of celebration—but for many people in recovery, it can also bring added stress, temptation and unexpected challenges.

Recovery isn't about avoiding life. It's about building the confidence, support and coping skills to navigate life's biggest moments—holidays included. Whether you're attending a cookout, watching fireworks or choosing to spend the day somewhere that feels safer, every decision you make to protect your recovery is a victory.

If this holiday feels overwhelming, remember that you don't have to face it alone. Reach out to your support network, lean on your treatment team and give yourself permission to prioritize your well-being.

Recovery is something worth celebrating—today and every day.

This Father’s Day, we honor the fathers, grandfathers, mentors and father figures who show strength, resilience and love every day.

As we also recognize Men’s Health Month, it’s an important reminder that seeking support for substance use challenges is a sign of courage—not weakness. Recovery is more than overcoming addiction; it’s about building healthier relationships, creating lasting memories and being present for the moments that matter most.

To all the dads on their recovery journey: your commitment to healing is a powerful gift to yourself and your loved ones.

💙 Happy Father’s Day and Men’s Health Month.

This Men’s Health Month, let’s talk about a health issue that affects millions of men but is often left unspoken: substance use disorder.

Seeking treatment is a sign of strength, not weakness. Recovery is possible, and support is available. By breaking the stigma around addiction and encouraging open conversations, we can help more men access the care they need to improve their health, relationships and quality of life.

If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. Taking the first step can change everything.
