s a licensed occupational therapist and educator, regulated by the California Board of Occupational Therapy, I have over 40 years of administrative and clinical experience, specializing in the past 22 years in pediatrics. After working as a clinician at Center for Developing Kids, a sensory integration clinic in Pasadena, I opened my private practice in 2015 and now travel to treat children in the
ir homes or preschool settings. My caseload includes children who are neurotypical and neurodiverse, including sensory processing disorders, regulation challenges, global delays in development, autistic spectrum disorder (ASD), and learning differences such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). I address social emotional development, play skills and exploration, peer play and interactions to address underlying factors related to emotional regulation, sensory processing differences, praxis, coordination, and balance, gross, fine, and visual motor skill delays or limitations. Educational workshops and training sessions for teachers, parents, caregivers, and school staff on various topics are offered to explore effective strategies for the classroom, daily living skills, emotional regulation, play development, and sensory processing. I am certified in the Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI). This foundation helps to establish the underlying factors sensory related that can impact a child’s play and engage fully. My DIR-Floortime certification supports child-led developmental play and interactions. I also teach and support children succeed with their handwriting through playful and motivating strategies, using multi-sensory and kinetic approaches.
