Nobody applauds when a nurse finishes a double shift.
There's no crowd for the 3 a.m. med pass, the hard family conversation, or the chart finished long after everyone else has gone home.
Last Friday, July 10, we borrowed one. Seventy thousand strong.
We welcomed our nurses to a suite at the stadium in Inglewood to watch ESP vs. BEL. An 88th-minute winner. A beautiful day.
We'll remember the anthem. The conversations between nurses who finally had time to connect. The reminder that the people who spend their days caring for others deserve to be celebrated, too.
To every nurse who joined us: thank you. We see you.
If a nurse has ever taken care of you or someone you love, leave them a 💙 in the comments. They'll see it. We'll make sure of it.
