You find out you have dense breasts. Now what? 🩵

Nearly half of women over 40 have dense breasts. It’s common, but understanding what that means matters.

Dense breast tissue can make cancer harder to detect on a mammogram because both dense tissue and cancer appear white. It’s like trying to find a cloud in a cloud-filled sky.

Since 2024, federal law has required mammography facilities to notify you about your breast density. But knowing your density is just the first step.

BeSound is a breast imaging platform that gives you access to FDA-approved automated breast ultrasound screening.

BeSound complements mammography. Does not replace your mammogram.

When added to mammography, automated breast ultrasound detected 55% more invasive breast cancers than mammography alone in women with dense breast tissue.

Mammograms are the gold standard for breast cancer screening, but they don’t tell the whole story for everyone.

Nearly 40% of women have dense breast tissue. Density raises breast cancer risk, and it also makes tumors much harder to see on a mammogram alone. That’s why women with dense breasts are often recommended supplemental ultrasound, even though it isn’t always easy to get.

A new option, BeSound , just opened in NYC that’s designed specifically for dense tissue. It doesn’t replace your mammogram, but it adds a clearer look when you need one.

NYC, we’ve officially arrived.

On Monday, we celebrated the grand opening of BeSound New York City with an evening dedicated to the future of breast health.

The evening featured a panel bringing together leaders in breast imaging, medical research and ultrasound technology to discuss the importance of early detection, the role of supplemental breast imaging and how innovation is helping expand options for women.
