Sometimes your mind can take you further than the facts ever did. ❤️🩹
After my fall, urgent care told me I had a knee fracture and that I needed to see orthopedics to determine the treatment. Cue the “what ifs.” 😔
I had just gotten back to work, teaching Zumba, moving my body, and finally starting to feel like myself again. 💃🏻❤️ The possibility of suddenly having all of that put on hold really got to me.
The interesting part? Physically, I felt pretty good. I could still walk, and by the third day I had very little pain. It was the uncertainty and waiting for answers that was difficult.
A reminder I needed as a health coach, too: 🌺
✨ Focus on what you know TODAY
✨ Don’t turn a possibility into a conclusion
✨ Accept help and lean on your support system
✨ Slow down, pray, and take it one day at a time 🙏🏼
And then came the good news — NO FRACTURE! 🙌🏼❤️ Just a bruised knee, some time to strengthen, and then back to dancing. 💃🏻
Grateful. Relieved. And reminded that sometimes slowing down physically also teaches us to slow down our thoughts. ❤️
Don’t let the “what ifs” become facts.
