Last week at SMISS, Amir Vokshoor, MD, FAANS delivered a podium presentation highlighting that the Synergy Disc achieved superior composite clinical success compared with anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) at 24 months, with rates of 87.1% versus 56.6%, respectively.

“The two-year results from the ALIGN-1L trial demonstrate that the Synergy Disc's unique lordotic core improves spinal alignment, especially in patients presenting with baseline kyphotic segments, while delivering superior pain and disability relief compared to fusion. These findings demonstrate the value of addressing alignment as part of motion-preserving cervical disc replacement,” said Amir Vokshoor, MD, FAANS.

The Synergy Disc has more than a decade of clinical use outside the United States and has been implanted in thousands of patients across more than 10 countries. It is now commercially available in the United States with over 200 cases already completed since receiving premarket approval from the FDA earlier this year.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our exhibit at Bridging the Gap to meet our team—Jim Butler, Seth Podell, and Robyn Capobianco—and learn more about Synergy Disc. A special thank you to Bridging the Gap leadership— Dr. Greg Mundis and Dr. Michael Vitale—as well as the outstanding faculty and attendees for an exceptional meeting.

It was a great opportunity to share our experience from the first 100 commercial U.S. cases and discuss why more surgeons are incorporating Synergy Disc into their cervical disc arthroplasty practices.
